We butchered our steer last fall, and he had the most beautiful long shiny coat, so we decided to keep the hide and tan it ourselves to use as a living room rug or fancy topper for the bed. Used this on a buck hide that was very thick and it worked great. I don't have much experience with tanning hides yet, but this seems to do a good job. The best part is the customer service at Advance Tanning Solutions. Since I don't know what I am doing yet I ran into a few rough spots and they where so helpful!
