This gum lasts a few hours. It seems like a big piece but it definitely shrinks. I’ve read the reviews where people say they don’t notice a difference from normal gum but I definitely noticed a difference. It was chewy for a long time probably about 2-3 hours. It made my mouth moist way more than normal gum does. It’s a hint of mint so it’s not overpowering. It never made me thirsty like some gum does after chewing it for a while. I’m going to buy more. I got a bunch of cavities after starting a new medication that causes really bad dry mouth. The dentist told me I really needed to get this gum. I love it. I'd get a sore jaw from chewing other brand all the time for long periods and I don't with this one. It stays pretty soft. The flavor last for hours and hours. It really make a huge difference in your dry mouth but the biggest bonus is that I haven't had any new cavities forming since I started chewing it. I had been developing painful sores due to severe dry mouth (I live in a Southwest US desert wasteland of heat and dryness). Nothing else seemed to work and I tried a lot - changing toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwashes, lozenges, staying on top of hydration. This gum was the only thing that worked and worked immediately at moisturizing and soothing my mouth. Within a few days of using it, the sores had completely healed. Unfortunately, I had to use it so much that it's cost-prohibitive to keep buying it for everyday use, but I will definitely buy it again when/if another flare-up of severe dry mouth occurs. I have been suffering from dry mouth for some time. Meds. Now the mask exacerbates it.Night the bundle. Lozenges. Mouthwash. Gum.Mouth wash is fine. Don't use enough to notice difference at night.I started with Lozenges. Good flavor. Not overwhelming. They last a good 5 minutes & I feel the fresh affect for a bit after that.Then I moved to the gum.I am a gum chewer. I chew all the time. So when I tried these I existed same. Not your traditional gum.Long chew. Never loses flavor. Never got rubbery. And my mouth felt fresh long after. So, wow that gum packs a punch. I purchased the mint and wow it is like popping icebreakers x 1000 in your mouth at the beginning. My sinuses cleared up and I wasn't even aware they needed to be. Don't worry, it does mellow after a minute or so... but it really worked. I have dry mouth due to a number of meds that I'm on. And over hydrating does nothing to help. This did. I think I chewed the one piece for about 6 hours... not sure when the flavor went away but I was able to scrub my tub and shower out, clean my bathroom, and my bedroom and fold a basket full of clothes and when I sat down to rest the flavor was just as strong as a normal piece of gum is but your mouth is no longer even remotely dry. I'm pretty sure while cleaning my tub my mouth was slightly opened and I drooled. Lol I called my sister this morning to tell her to get some too. Same issue as mine. Anyway. I thought that the effect would be more noticable since it cost so freakin much money but it was no better than the Pür Gum that I was using. I was recently diagnosed with Sjogrens so the dryness of my mouth is a concern for long term dental health. I used to sell the Pür brand and therefore knew that it contains xylitol that is the main ingredient for moisturizing and lubricating the mouth. My primary objection to the Act gum is the price, Pür is much, much less expensive so the choice is simple between the two. Read more
