This product is a cheap knock off of the actual cologne. I was initially hesitant from the bad reviews, but there seemed to be just as many good reviews and I ended up buying it. I should have known better. The box comes with white stickers on it to cover the actual serial info and the scent is off and does not last nearly as long. I'd recommend just paying extra and buying the real thing from a trusted seller, in the end it'll save you money because you won't have to reapply every hour. I usually don't leave reviews, but I was so disappointed with this product I wanted to warn everyone else....don't be stupid like I was. If you don't believe me, look around at the other reviews (& examine their pictures too). Read more
I was skeptical based on the many reviews calling it fake or counterfeit, but noted the "Amazon choice" logo and figured it to be a safe bet. Upon receipt, I noted many of the same issues, such as stickers covering areas on the packaging, and upon further inspection, noted they covered things that had been cut off the box by hand with an exact knife (not a manufacturing flaw). The cologne smells good, but a bit "off". Bottom line, I don't mind the knockoff and will use it anyhow, but have a problem with paying full price for an authentic product, endorsed by Amazon, when it is clearly a counterfeit. It's a deceptive sales tactic by the manufacturer, and I hold Amazon responsible as they are clearly not running quality control here. I wouldn't have bought it had it not been for the Amazon endorsement on the listing. Read more
Many reviews here discuss being sent a bogus product and the indications on packaging and bottle to to thus determine which is real. The package I received looked perfect in every way and the bottle fit the image as true Acqua di Gio. The lack of fragrance, however, suggests that this is bogus. There is no aroma and it certainly has no longevity. A blend of alcohol and water would best describe the fragrance. One might think that Amazon could better police phony products and not have its customers throw away over $60..! Read more
Ok, I bought this and tested it BEFORE running out of my Acqua Di Gio that I got from the mall a little while back and here is what I found:1. The scent is not as strong. I have to do a few spurts instead of a single spurt to get the same effect as the one from the mall.2. The scent from this one IS very slightly different somehow. I don't know how, but it's noticeable. The one from the mall smells better according to 4 friends, my mother and 1 sister.3. The scent from this one seems to last approximately 5 minutes... ok I'm exaggerating a little bit here but seriously, it BARELY lasts, where the one form the mall (supposed to be the same exact product) lasts all day.The REAL stuff gets 5 stars from me but whatever this Amazon version is... definitely 1 star. What on earth is being done to this version??? It's like this one was mixed with water or something. Read more

Hi, everyone. Another bamboozled idiot here! Man, I threw away the box not even thinking. I got this product with shear confidence because before I clicked "proceed to checkout", I saw that this bottle was in stock and "ships from and sold by Amazon". Amazon would never sell me fake products, right? When I think Amazon, I don't think about a crack cocaine-using, neck-tattooed, would be hipster if she could afford a decent flannel shirt and no - those thick framed glasses don't make you look intelligent, wife beater wearing hoodrat with a stained fake Coach bag she stole from her second to last ex-girlfriend packed full of unauthentic fragrances trying to hustle you for some moneh'! Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. Your girl, Shanelle, even though her real name is Roberta, but you know naming yourself after an expensive brand but changing the spelling makes you a respectable person. Obviously! Yo, this fake stuff smells like bug repellent! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 20 bucks at Macy's. The cologne girl is always fine as hell and you get a free man-bag too. You don't like man-bags? All good. Just give it to your girl Shanelle, she's had a hard life, bro. Read more
Defiantly horrible purchase. I've been using this cologne for years, I've only purchased it from Macy's. I saw this on Amazon, saw that I would save some money & decided to give it a chance despite all the bad reviews.I don't care how well packaged or even if they're supplying me with the original bottle. The smell is not the genuine smell of Acqua Di Gio. It smells cheap and horrible. It doesn't even last an hour.I will NEVER purchase cologne off amazon again. Read more
I read all the reviews and was worried about a lot of people receiving a fake. I thought I'd take a chance because of the price, and I figured if it ended up being a fake I could return it... should have went with my gut because it was a FAKE. The batch numbers didn't match (the indented numbers/letters on the bottom of the box did not match the batch numbers on the bottom of the bottle). I'm kind of obsessed with cologne/perfume and believe I'd be able to tell the difference based on smell alone, but they're getting pretty good at it... I had to Google how to tell a fake vs. the real thing. The smell isn't bad at all, but I'm not keeping it long enough to see how long it lasts. Read more
