I bought this to use in the walk in shower to sit on for washing my feet and shaving my legs. It’s great for that and it folds away when you’re done. I’d bought a plastic shower stool when we first moved in a few months ago but it’s a pain to move. Got plastic because I didn’t want to ruin a teak or bamboo one with water and thus mold. Well, I find that since it just lives at the dry end, I’m going to be buying a much prettier wood one soon because with this step as a butt stool, it'll be fine to hold my things! Read more

The description on this item is very misleading. It states that it holds over 200 pounds, but when I received the stool the sticker on it gives a weight limit of 75 pounds! Apparently the 200 pound limit is if you're SITTING on it, but it's a 75 pound limit for STANDING on it. The seller needs to change their description to reflect this. Read more

This is for the 16" white folding stool. This is soft plastic molded to made to look like a step stool. The product description suggests 330lb, but when you receive the item, it has a big warning label that tells you it has a 75# limit. The interlocking 'teeth' that hold the stool together are so soft that if you simply pull the base to open fully, the stool comes apart. Nothing 'locks' into place to make it sturdy. I have no intention of stepping up on it, but am concerned to even have it in my home, lest a guest might see it, think it is a real stool, and be injured. This would surely collapse. Should be banned from sales by Amazon, as it is clearly intended to resemble a sturdy stool in order to achieve a sale. It's a dangerous fake. Read more

I really liked this stool. My wife has a hard time reaching everything in our house and this worked really well for her. I liked it to sit on while doing random tasks. The problem is that I weigh less than 300 lbs and it broke today while I was sitting on it. I was taking care of laundry when it dropped out from under me. I barely missed banging my head on my brick hearth but I smashed my elbow on it. I'm very glad that I am tall and wasn't standing up on it. Read more

Very nice step stool, and it comes in quite a few colors. It folds away easily and appears to be very secure when in use. One thing to consider, it is a high step up, which I actually like. I can reach into a lot of places around the house without having to get the ladder out or stand precariously on chairs. But it may be too high for some people, and depending on your agility and balance, you have to be a little bit careful. Read more

The only problem, but a very serious one, is that I find this to be unsafe. It does not lock itself when in an open positions to stand on, nor lock itself when closed either. When opening it all the way to stand on, and I used it on carpet only as I feel on the kitchen floor it wouldn't be steady in ANY WAY. When opened all the way, then standing on it, you have to hold on to something else as it is so unsteady....I'm thinking of opening it and putting a cushion on it for grandchildren to sit on.....it's just too unsteady and a person runs the risk of falling due to the unsteady sides that should be able to lock in place when opened....NOT SAFE. It states in item description that it can support 300 pounds. On the stool itself it stays it supports 75 pounds. While I bought the stool primarily for my 3 year old, and it’s perfect height for him to assist me with cooking and baking, I (currently 9 months pregnant and no where near 300 pounds) do not want to find out if it can support my weight, which is very frustrating.Additionally, I received a dirty stool, lots of stains, despite being in packaging as though it were new. I actually use this as a shower seat. I developed an inner ear problem and cannot lean my head back without getting dizzy so needed something to sit on in the shower. I found the actual shower seats to be quite bulky and don't like them. Then thought a stool would do. Found this one and it works great for me. It does fold easily, just lift the handle and it folds up, and it is light so I can easily take it in and out of the bathtub. I've never tried standing on it, but honestly I'm not a lightweight and it stands up to me sitting on it. I've been using it for over a year with no problems. My mother just checked it out and loved how easily it folds and how strong it seems to be and is buying one herself ... to use as an actual stool, lol. Read more
