this is the second "a size above" plus size vest that i've ordered. i love it. my other one has lasted me nearly 5 years and it still is good enough to keep as a backup. i've had to sew the older one a couple times because of normal wear and tear, but it's been an awesome vest.i am larger in the chest area and i have a hard time finding a woman's vest that fits me correctly. i'm not crazy about the wide shoulder design on this one, i feel it makes me look like a linebacker, lol, but it is what it is.i have never had anything stain this vest. not haircolor, hair bleach, styling products, nothing. i rarely even get wet when i'm wearing the vest. occasionally some water will seep through but only if it's a direct, high-powered or heavy spray. i almost never have hair make it through either.i like the higher neckline of this vest. i have a couple others that have a lower neckline and hair always gets in and on my shirt. that almost never happens with this vest. i also like the snap closure. my other vests have zipper closures but i prefer snaps; they are more comfortable to me and the vest is much roomier and less constrictive.I shop online regularly and read reviews when choosing new products or when purchasing from new merchants. Very nice item. High quality and keeps the hair and water off, while keeping me neat and professional looking. I've worn this 5 days a week for several months and it still looks good as new. I am a pet groomer and I get wetter and hairier than a barber or stylist would so I've put it through it's paces. I like the full coverage but it's so light and comfortable. The mesh panel in the back lets the air flow. Will definitely repurchase when it's time for a new one. Read more

I prefer this vest to its female counterpart. I actually ordered two, one for me and the other for a friend. It does run big so I suggest ordering a size smaller than what you normally would wear. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the buttons on my vest. They're just snap buttons, and once closed, it takes the jaws of life to get it unbuttoned again. Read more

My husband really likes this vest! On warm days it is much cooler than than a barber jacket. We like the zippers at the bottom of the pockets. We would prefer a zipper to snaps though and although my husband has pretty broad shoulders, he feels that the jacket is too broad there. Read more
