These work fairly well. They're better for ensuring that a kiddo or animal doesn't get locked in a room than really guarding against pinched fingers, but they do the job. The trouble is the hinged side of the door - my kids are at an age where they're curious about everything, and fascinated by things like the gap in the door-hinge... As directed, these are no help at all. But! I have found that by putting the pinch-guard over the hinge itself (vertically), it helps. They still pinch their fingers, but at least they can't crush them... Toddlers. The soft foam has also inadvertantly doubled as a teething toy for my tots, so there's that. I bought the white ones From another company that were more expensive and I thought I’d try these because you got more for a cheaper price and they had fun colors for my toddler but these are NOT good for toddlers. My 2 year old slams the door all the time and the white ones could handle the constant crushing but these fall off after a week of her door slams. If you have a pet it could work but if you have a child trying to learn how to shut doors this is not going to work. Read more

These work great to prevent my toddler from closing doors, but if she gets ahold of one, she can easily break it. This is a great deal price wise compared to other sellers, and those have the same issue with being easy to break, so I definitely recommend these over any others. Read more

These are an absolute MUST for parents of young ones! Babies, toddlers and young kids seem to have it out for their fingers when it comes to doors. We have one of these on every door in the house and on the sliding closet doors too. Not only do they help prevent pinched fingers but prevent our cats from getting stuck in a room or behind a closet door. These don't last forever if you have a little one who likes to pull doors closed squishing these, but at the price they're worth it and withstand a bunch of toddler abuse. First of all it is very pricey , i don't think it is working magically for that price. it is not always staying on the door. if my daughter pushes the door hard enough it will fall. also even if it stays, the will be crushed (the material is not hard enough) and the door still closes (so that potentially still can hurt your kids' fingers). Loved the idea of animals, which was a creative idea to get my kids to let them stay on the doors. However the material was not as high quality or thick or durable as the the basic white ones, which have survived the teeth and door slams of three kids. These finger guards work exactly as advertised. They may work a little too well though. My husband installed them on the bathroom door and there is nothing like running to the bathroom closing the door onlt to realize it bounced back open. But in all seriousness they keep the baby from closing his hands in the door. They also double as a teether when he gets ahold of one. Great for small children, the idea is a good one, however we are on our second pack as they break easily when a door closes quickly, which I supoose stops small fingers getting stuck.. We have some white genetic ones which seem to stand up better to harsher treatment, so if you don't have really small children I'd suggest the more generic ones would present better value for money. My kids kept slamming the doors in my house and I was concerned that they might slam their fingers or eachother fingers too.
