I’ve ordered these before and was very pleased with their performance. However this last order wasn’t as effective in performance. It’s important the cotton fibers be wound tightly into a point in order to be able to apply some pressure without the tip bending. This last order has the tips weak and limp. I’m a professional nail tech and use them to clean up around the cuticle area when nail polish gets onto the skin. When properly wound, they work great! Otherwise, they grab wet polish from the nail and drag it onto the skin because of the loose tips. Plus both ends should be pointy not just one end. The other end is the same shape as a regular q-tip. Why not just buy regular a-tips then? That’s why this review only got 3 stars. 1 star for performance and 2 stars for a great idea that needs to be better constructed. I order the 2000 ct packaging so it’s pretty frustrating having to snip off the tips of every q-tip before using them when I’m on a timed schedule. I love the various sizes, the smallest with the pointed tip are very useful. I wish there were more of them and fewer of the very large sizes. The cotton tips on these are dense, much firmer than a normal Qtip.Wood handles can be easily broken. The solution is to wet them a bit and let it soak for a few seconds. That adds a lot of give to them. I've used various wood swabs for many years and they are all the same. These are perfectly usable and I would definitely purchase them again. Read more

I use these kind of q-tips when I'm putting on my makeup. I typically buy the name brand "Q-Tips" however after purchasing these, I'll never buy the name brand ones again! The quality of these q-tips is AMAZING!! They do NOT have loose fibers/fuzz like other do which can get stuck in my mascara when I use then to clear off any excess mascara that I may have accidentally gotten underneath or on top of my eye lids. They stay very tightly compacted together even after I soak them with make-up remover. They allow my makeup lines to turn out PERFECT! The q-tios are very sturdy and not at all flimsy. The price can't be beat! I normally spend about $3 for a box of 150 of the "Q-Tip" brand--- with this brand I got around 600 q-tips for that price! Read more

I purchased them particularly to clean rotating fan...the swabs catch the dust and etc that gets inside the fan and on the what do you call the plastic protective outside of the fan? anyway, makes this cleaning the dust, and in my household, pet hair, that accumulates easier to clean! I bought these for cleaning my firearms cause they had a great price. The sticks are stiff but break easily. The tips work well but they will unravel or come off depending how your using it to clean such as a hole that the tip barely fits in it. I would buy them again just for the price point. Read more

I purchased these for cleaning and lubricating my firearms, and they’re great for that. I used to use normal sized Q-tips, but these make it easier to reach more areas, and the tightly wound conical shape of the cotton allows more precision. I thought my husband was just being overly aggressive when he told me the stick breaks so easy. But I used one to clean something delicate and it snapped more easily than a toothpick. The length is good especially with the included extender. Works good with liquids & oils but not so much with thicker glues & greases like a common swab will. The cotton is packed very tight so it's unable to pick up heavier substances. Overall, they work fair. Read more
