I used to use Somnifix, but these are better and a better value. The Somnifix were very expensive had a small hole in the center. The expense meant I reused them 3-4 time total. The hole in the center meant my mouth dried out and my breath was really bad in the morning.This brand has a good strong adhesive and my mouth no longer dries out overnight. My breath isn’t as bad, either. The way I remove the mouth tape painlessly is to lick around my lips until it is loose enough to remove without pulling out hair over the lips. Not sure what to expect from these. I thought I would feel claustrophobic. But they are brilliant! With this strip, I no longer wake up with a dry mouth or sore throat. It comfortably stays in place all night, and it doesn't pull on the lips at all when taking it off.I was hesitant about ordering these but my nightly, dry cotton mouth out-weighed my skepticism and fear. They keep your mouth closed while sleeping. They are also easy to remove (no residue or pain). The only problem is when you have to cough or sneeze.I am a believer in their benefits and would tell anybody looking for a better quality of sleep. Read more

Something about these has changed recently.The material feels much different. Hard to describe, but it's more plasticy and stiff. They do not adhere well at all anymore. I used to have no problem having one work all night long with cpap. These ones often don't adhere at all, and the others come lose a few hours into the night. Especially if they get damp or oily at all. Which considering they are used on your mouth area, that's going to happen from breathing, sweating, and whatever else comes from your mouth at night. I have to use two and sometimes three at a time to get enough sticking power to get them to work. I end up having to put on new ones halfway through the night,, as they come lose. I didn't have nearly as much trouble with the other material that was used.And my skin seems to be reacting more to whatever material/adhesive is used.Also, the ones that I always get have a completely different box than what is advertised. I never get a box that has a picture of a person. It's always a plain yellow box with black writing on it. No pictures. That hasn't been a problem if the contents in the box work well. But they don't anymore.I may just go back to using plastic bandage tape that you can get at any grocery store in the 1st aid aisle. Works the same, and cheaper. Read more

I normally buy Somnifit, but they are much more pricey than these. So..I thought I’d give them a try. I got the ones that were supposed to have a vent. They did not. I may have received the wrong ones but.. (the 1st night I cut my own vent)…. I’ve only used them 2 nights. But based on normally using Somnifit I can say that they are rough on the skin when taking them off. And they separated from my lower lip and were barely attached the 2nd night. I’ve never had that happen even if I’ve used moisturizer with what I’ve used in the past. I’ll try it again tonight but so far not even in the same arena as what I’ve used for years. These mouth strips do not have a breathing vent but that is not a problem for me. I do have a mustache and the primary consideration is that the strips will just contact with my lips and the adhesive must be good enough to hold throughout the night while sleeping. This is my second order of these strips and I have been satisfied with performance. Price is a consideration since a strip is utilized every night. Applied to my lips they do keep my mouth closed and stay on all night. The price is reasonable for the amount of pieces and quality of the pieces. It takes both good price and good quality.
