I gave this two stars because they're not really that great. The sticks are very thin, the cotton is not very well attached. For applications that require a better bond of the cotton to the wood, they're poor since the cotton comes off with even the slightest amount of moisture (I don't believe any glues are used at all).This leaves a lot of cotton threads clinging to whatever you're trying to clean.The only reason this didn't get one star is because the wood, while think and hard to hold on to (for a thick-fingered guy like me), the wood doesn't break very often. I believe the wood is bamboo. This also means that they're much more flexible, which often times is a detriment when trying to clean or apply things to specific places.So, one star extra for the wood not breaking very often and for having a decent price, but three stars removed for being too thin, too flexible and shedding cotton all over everything. For any cleaning applications, I would not recommend these and will not be buying them again. Read more

I bought this product to clean my cat's ears. It is good and goes up to the area I needed to reach. The sticks don't break easily, are strong and the cotton does not leave the stick. I would recommend it 100%, because for the amount that it brings and the cost, it's perfect. Read more

I bought these because I wanted something that I could dip into my nail polish remover and clean the nail polish around my nails but these didn't absorb any polish remover. There is hardly any cotton on the tips. Now for cleaning dust from something that had a small crevice, they would do fine but if you plan on trying to absorb any kind of fluid for clean up or whatever, these aren't going to do that. How nice not to have my cotton swap give when I apply the slightest pressure. My old name brand product does that as I’m trying to clean the crevices on my outer ear. I was looking forward to these swabs as a more eco-friendly alternative for q-tips. I bought them for the sole purpose of cleaning wax from my banger after taking a dab.The cotton is wound way too tight and I spend a lot of time fluffing them up before I'm able to use them. Doesn't expand very well when wet.Works just ok in your ears.I did see reviews about the unnecessary plastic packaging, but I decided to purchase anyway because I didn't realize they would be WRAPPED IN PLASTIC FOUR TIMES. :(I contacted the company and they told me they will look into more eco-friendly packaging to go along with their products.I don't feel the need to repurchase this product. Good firm wood stick with just a very little bit of flex. A satisfactory amount of cotton on the tip, but wish it had more. Probably perfect for crafts and cleaning, but I prefer more cotton to swab around in my ears (I know that has been outlawed, but it feels good and I still do it). Read more
