I am a 74 year old man and have peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I ordered these hoping to alleviate some of the pain in my feet. I first bought six pairs of grey socks and was impressed with how they felt. So, I ordered six pairs of black and then six pairs of brown. They do feel better than my old Dr. Scholl's socks and I threw them all away.The big problem with these, especially the brown and black, is that for some reason they are filled with some kind of material stuffing to, I would guess, make them seem puffier and softer in the package when new. I washed them before wearing them but started noticing this stuffing material around on my carpeted floors. When I looked at my feet after taking off the socks, around the base of my toes, I noticed a lot of this stuffing material. So what was happening, when I took my socks off after wearing them for a day, I was tracking this stuffing material all around my carpeted rooms.So now I have turned each of my new pairs of socks inside out and am washing them again hoping to get rid of all this messy material; it's not thread but just fluffy lint. I have also had to vacuum up all this lint that I have tracked throughout my house.I don't think this is the way socks should be manufactured and sent to unknowing customers. I would not recommend buying these socks; I know I wouldn't buy them again knowing now the mess and time and efforts they have caused. Read more

I have Type 2 diabetes & was having a serious problem with one foot. A wound wouldn't heal, then my foot & entire ankle got very swollen & red. My regular white crew socks were digging into the whole area, leaving imprints because they became so tight. These socks are soft, fairly thin, and totally non-binding.
