These clips are very sturdy and have all day comfortable hold. I've never had a clip made from this material but have found that it holds better and grips hair without breakage. I like that there are two sizes. The big ones are perfect to hold ALL of my hair and the little ones are great for just putting up a bit of hair. Although my mom, who has thin hair likes these small ones that can hold all of her hair in a twist.Most are the rubber coated type - that stay firm in the hair grip-wise - no slipping! The shiner ones are only like two larger ones. Personally I would have preferred they be the rubber coated ones too - but they are still cute - just more of the usually clip color and finish.The best part is they are flat bottomed which are so comfortable to wear as they rest on your scalp and never dig in. I have ordered these exact same type of clips 3 or 4 times now. I have several orders not because they break but because I'm horrible at keeping track of them.Of all the hair clips I've tried, I keep coming back to these ones with the flat back. They sit against my head and don't dig into my scalp. The spring is heavy enough to hold my thick hair. The large ones can hold all my hair in a bun while the little ones are good for just holding half of my hair away from my face. The colors are more of a muted than shown. I like the variety of colors and I can always find one that matches what I'm wearing. Although my hair is on the medium-to thin side, I find that the smaller clips work well for my hair. The larger ones, not so much. However, with a bit of tweeking how I position the claws into my hair (flip over lazy bun), these hold the base well and require very little adjustments throughout the day.The larger clips, they are just so large and my hair is now just a bit longer than shoulder-length. If my hair was thicker, maybe these would work, but not now. The smaller clips' materail feels much more sturdy and thick than the large 3 pack clips, so I use only those.I like these (smaller) clips and like that they are thicker than typical discount store clips in fun colors. You get 4 large clips and 8 small clips for $10. These are really nice clips. I especially like the combination of small and larger clips. If I want to pull back only a smaller section I use a small clip and if I want to put up all my hair, I use the larger clip. The springs are nice and strong and the colors are very pretty. The big ones are ok. They don’t stay exactly straight but to hold my hair off my face while doing something they worked ok. The small ones were useless for my thick wavy hair. To someone with thin hair they would probably be great. Nice assortment of colors. Read more
