I do my own hair dyes on myself and my daughter and this kit was really easy to use. I just recently started mixing my own dyes and with this set, it makes it so much easier to apply different hair dyes. When it comes to doing highlights, this really made it so much easier. Especially when it comes to wrapping the hair. I absolutely love the comb at the top as it helps separate the sections we want to dye. Plus the curved top really does curve no matter where you use it on the scalp. With this brush, I'm able to section out with the point which can be a bit sharp if you get too close to the scalp. Maybe you are a hairdresser. If so, I’m sure these will be great. I am not. Since we’re in quarantine, I thought I would give balayage a shot because my attempt to highlight left me with some brassier roots than I wanted. Besides, I figured I would be in disguise (PPE) anyway. I was thinking (naively) this set would come with instructions. It did not. So, there they sit under my sink. I am very disappointed in this product, When I took my order out of the plastic bag the teeth were loose on the longest board which makes it useless. Which I do not understand because the teeth seem pretty sturdy on the other boards. I wasted my money because the board I would have made the most amount of use out of is broken and useless. I LOVE this product! It's sturdy but not heavy it allows an all in one motion for fast easy application. The combs allow you to slightly tease the hair and avoid any possible line of demarcation. Great for applying lighter or for soft blended color application. Well worth it. Read more

I initially thought this would be really helpful to me, as I bleach and highlight my own hair at home. However, I found this to be extremely awkward and time consuming, and preferred to just bleach the hair without these.HOWEVER...I think if you were to use these on anothee person, they would actually help a lot to ensure you have each section of hair properly saturated with the dye or the bleach. Therefore for personal use, it's not so great, however for 'clients'... Potentially very helpful. Read more

we do our own highlights at home and usually use a cap. We occasionally use foils. For some reason this seemed a great idea but it was a little fiddly but once in place it was easy to brush down the length of the hair. The only trouble is you can’t get close enough to the scalp with this resulting in some highlights between 1cm - 1” away on average Read more
