Terrible quality. I haven’t even used the comb section, just the parting metal part for parting hair and it has snapped so easily. One fall on the floor and several teeth fall out, then another fall and more fall out. These two combs have faller about 2-3 times and already it looked like that, in addition to just using it to part the hair with the silver part. Never had this happen before. I had a rat tail comb frommy teenage years (late 60's-early 70's) and had tried combing my long hair cat with it. Worked great but the plastic comb has seen better days. These metal ones are perfect. We keep one in the bathroom and two in the living room (one in each end table drawer) so they are easily accesible when the one of the three cats are in the mood form some grooming. Read more

These are the ones, folks! Best dang rat tail I could have imagined and I didn’t even know how badly I needed one. Ya get 3 @ just under $5, and they are solid. I have textured natural stone tile in my bathroom and have dropped em several times, and they haven’t even chipped a tooth yet. I bought the pink ones, and am placing another order because they have chaged my world and now I will be unable to live without them. So helpful for styling my wigs before and fine tuning once i put them on the days I have my extensions out. Also, invaluable tool to have while installing extensions AND for stripping the SOFTENED glue/tape residue from your natural strands while removing. As long as the residue is softened by oil... it’ll slide right off moving the comb slowly down the hair shafts. Don’t be forceful and you won’t break any of your hair.As another reviewer pointed out, most of the bad reviews for these combs are completely irrelevant and misdirected!. C’mon ppl have some common sense, and then exercise it. Literally, my biggest pet peeve are bad reviews that are clearly unwarranted! If your combs came broken....obviously, this is a shipping issue. It happens, just as $#!+ happens. Do you really think it was the intention of the manufacturer to sell broken combs?! Not a chance! And so recognize yours would then be an issue that has absolutely no place here under product review. Air your grievances with Amazon directly, get a replacement order, and save your product review until after you are able to use/test the actual product, fully intact. Only been used a few times so far and they've been great to use, very smooth in the hand and through both natural and synthetic hair, making styling a breeze! No nasty moulding lines that catch skin or hair, entire comb is very smooth and the tail seems to be deep enough in the handle to appear very sturdy - as are the comb teeth, which survived some extreme back combing of synthetic hair peices - something that regularly mullers other combs I've used.Very easy to clean and no sign of wear yet - even after cleaning styling products from them. Came with a neat plastic pouch to keep them tougher and clean.I bought this set so each of the stylists on our team had a decent tool to use (as a rule I often supply the kits and products for certain creative projects when working in a team), apparently they were liked well enough that two of the combs "went missing" - I only managed to keep the one I'd been using... lol! These are perfect. My daughter has got dreadlocks and we i am de-dreading her hair. She has a lot of hair and they are sturdy and thick enough to work.
