These are ok. I should have taken the words, "rubber band" more seriously in the description of this item. That's exactly what they are--tiny red rubber bands versus like a poly band for hair. As such, they grip the hair a little too much causing pulling and breakage when you try to remove them. I wanted something to use at the end of my braid that was seamless and not super noticeable (I have red hair). I stopped using these and am making do with tiny poly bands made for dark hair (so blacks and browns). The clear ones look funny.
