The media could not be loaded. Great bright gold shine and delicate wing shape! The metal is sturdy, yet not overly heavy; they don't drag down my hair at all. Out of the 12, not a single one was bent or broken & the wire work is exquisite. The wire wrapping tips don't snag my hair & it gives the barettes an awesome 3D look. They flutter exactly like I remember in the early 90's, and the springs are tilted up instead of flat, so they don't pinch strands of hair. I think the value for the price of a dozen is GREAT. The hair pins are great, and very, VERY cute. They flutter constantly.None of the items arrived broken, they were all in perfect condition (which amazed me, because they not only survived the amazon delivery, they also survived a 7 hour flight while being packed in the bottom of my suitcase)If I had to mention one downside, i would say that not all of them expand the same way.
