I and my hubby went through three years of living "heck" and were barely able to function because of the depression. I have struggled with depression/ anxiety for most of my life. on and off I have used antidepressants and benzodiazepines with anywhere from good to disastrous results. I have tried herbal supplements before and I will say that st johns does work, but very very mildly. You don't get quick results, I felt slightly different after a month of regular use, again, let me emphasize the results from this are very, very mild and subtle, but they help. I have pretty much worn out my welcome with antidepressants and antianxiety meds and they were causing me more problems at this stage in my life, finally safely got off them but didn't feel "normal" This supplement helped but it took over a month and I like that I can just take 2 tabs a day, instead of popping capsules morning ,noon and night. The effect on this was slow in uptake but powerful once it had built up in my system, as is the case with adaptogens. I don’t know the exact science here, but after taking the St. John’s wort for about a month, things really started to shift for me. Amidst the global pandemic, it’s nice to have a more upbeat and positive attitude and this supplement seems to make that more possible. I initially started taking St johns wart as a part of a brain support supplement. I realized the importance of this ingredient when the initial brain supplement was no longer being sold and I tried others but didn't feel as happy or the other benefits. I used John's Wort many, many years ago, but was forced to stop when several prescription medications were necessary.But even before that, I NEVER NOTICED any difference when I took them or when I didn't.Then I found myself in need to try again and I also found TONiiQ's SJW.I was extremely pleased to experience the effects as quickly as I did. Within the next day, I was already calmer and my anxiety wasn't as heightened.It is a very good feeling not wake up with the symptoms of an anxiety attack.The racing heart (and body) is not pleasant! It can sometimes cause additional worry as I get older, that I certainly don't need.One of the 'side effects', if you will, is that I am sleeping more soundly.
