I took a chance on these because the other type of hair ties are crap. I purchased a pack of the multicolored ones because there were so many and lots of pretty colors and they were cheap. Now I know why they were so cheap, if you have any kind of hairspray, mousse, gel, pomade or oil in your hair, forget it. I would braid my hair and add one of those silicone hair bands at the end and after a couple hours the thing would be missing. I’d find them broken in my car, in the bed and on the floor at work. I saw these and remembered my mom using rubber bands on the end of my braids when I was younger and decided to try them. I believe I received these around March 21st and I am using the same rubber band. These will last me forever! Now, are they durable: yes when compared to those silicon bands. Anyone with ethnic hair should just toss those in the trash.Easy to use: most definitely. They stay put till you take them out and they don’t disintegrate or fall apart.Easy to remove: for me they are but I don’t wrap the end of my braid with it too tightly because it’ll be hell to remove and my hair will break. If you do wrap your hair tightly with these just cut them out very carefully. Read more
They're exactly what I thought they'd be and expected: mini rubber hair bands. I have pretty thick hair, and when I attempted to use 1 of these bands in a single ponytail (with all my hair), it sagged or came loose (drooping from my hair by about an inch or more). However I was also worried about stretching it too much in case it would break, though I was pleasantly surprised with how much it did stretch. It's definitely not a hair tie I'd use regularly (or if I'll be moving around i.e. for sports) but they work great for pigtails/mini buns, or just trying to experiment with hairstyles where a larger hair tie might be too noticeable. It might work if you have thinner hair though!Like any rubber band, it takes more effort to take out of your hair, but it's not too bad and it doesn't hurt if you're careful. Durability so far has been good and none have broken. Read more
I bought these for braiding extensions into my hair. They are exactly what I was looking for:A rubbery material akin to silicone in that it does not break down with oils. I have since taken my braids about and use them on my natural hair as well, and even with product in my hair, they stay strong. They do not break easily, which is good!! To take them out, I would suggest a small pair of scissors, or, if they have been in for like a month, then you can break them with your fingers. They can be stretched so well!! You can tug on them when you're tryna go for an extra loop around a braid, and they won't break.I will be buying these and only these for every hair style I need rubber bands for!!! Read more
These rubber bands suck. They break so easily. Also they are very thin. They aren’t thick at all, not like the ones you buy from the hair store. I’m gonna still use them to get my moneys worth out of them, but I won’t buy them again. Read more
These mini rubber bands are pretty durable and useful. They're small, stretchy, and perfect for holding braids for various hair types. I have thick straight hair and these rubber bands work just right for my needs. I put these in at night, sleep, wake up, undo the braids, and have perfectly poofy, crimped hair! You get a lot for the price so it's a pretty good deal. This is a decent product that I'd recommend. Read more
I do a lot of braid hairdos, and these little elastics are perfect for that. They stretch enough, are resistant and can even be reused if removed from the hair correctly. Definitely better than any at Target or pharmacies for sure. Great price for the quantity too! Read more
Lots of mixed reviews for this item, but I like & recommend! They have great stretch, and even after a major stretch test, it didn't break in my hand. These are what they are; clear small rubber hair ties. Not EVERY SINGLE tie is going to be strong & durable. That's the name of the jumbo pack game.I have fine hair, and haven't had any issues. Yes, some break. Again, welcome to the world of rubber tiny hair ties if you haven't tried them before now.But these seem more durable than other big goody brand jumbo packet I've gotten at target; those DEFINITELY didnt ever hold up for me longer than 2 days.I always like to double up for longevity wear to be sure, then usually Chuck em when I'm done. I really liked them. I’ve never been very good at doing hair but now I’m going to start practicing more. I bought a bundle of a bunch of random hair things which came with a little baggy of little elastic hair bands but these ones are much much better. I’m definitely glad I ordered these as well. They’re easy to use and stay in well. They are a little difficult to take out and sometimes get a little stuck in my hair so you just have to be careful taking them out. Or just cut them out, I suppose. I mean, there are so many of them that they would still last you a while. And I’m sure they’re perfect for a little girl’s hair. I’s been using them for braiding and pulling back small amounts of my hair and they’ve been doing their job! Read more
The trouble I have searching for these bands is that I can never find them strong enough to work in Afro/relaxed hair. Finally, after many trials and errors I’ve found ones that work. I use them on my daughters hair and they work perfectly. Would recommend. Excellent value for money. Read more
Best rubber bands have come across so far I normally buy the 99p one from my local hair shop but they snap very easily these ones I’ve only had one incident of snapping. I am a mother of three girls so I get through a lot of rubber bands daily so I really needed a big amount at once is save me a lot of money and a lot of time because I don’t have to keep re-doing it because they pop in. These are brill, I use them to cornrow my girls hair the hold well without snapping and then I find it easy to take them out (I snap them then unravel) I’ve been using them for months and still have loads left Read more
I’ve been doing my hairstyle for about 3 years now and have thick, course, natural Afro hair. It took me a while to chose these hair bands because I was unsure if they would be of quality. I am very happy I chose them.My last pack, brought from a local hair shop, was awful! And ended up breaking even when not touching them. I would wake up with bands covering my bed and would pick out broken bands from my hair. This product is no comparison to my bad experience.I can use these bands as I always have, on individual extensions of my hair. I double them over before applying and wrapping four times on each strand of crouched braid. It doesn’t break at all!!!They’re very strong and a good size, not too big and not too small. It comes in a plastic resealable bag with clear on one side (so you can see what’s in it) and white on the other. You probably could use them twice, but there are enough in the packet to use just once. When I’m ready, I will cut them out, wash my hair and redo my hairstyle. I probably reduce my hair once a month, they last that long. And I’ve washed my hair with the extensions in, with the bands, and they still last. These are defiantly suitable for children’s hair as well, providing the quality doesn’t change. I would recommend to anyone without hesitation, and definitely would buy again. Read more
Great rubber bands. I use them primarily on my daughters' hair which is a mixture of curly/coily textures. They are durable and last for the hair styles that I use them for. Easy to take out of their hair when needed. Expensive but worth it. Read more
