So the good things about this supplement, it does talk about standardization and it's manufactured in the EU which I feel like in general has higher regulatory standards. That being said I am somewhat unsure about this brand. Both Amazon and their website have a weird claim about this being "48% Beta-glucans" which is nowhere on the container. I reached out to the company about this and despite their "100% happiness guarantee" did not get a response. I would have liked to have seen a COA as well but no response there.I had to look at their website to see what they meant by "100% organic heteropolysaccharides powder". Apparently this is a term that means it's a mix of fruiting body, mycellium and secondary fungal metabolites. I've never seen a mushroom powder use this term and I can't help but think it's a way to throw big words around and get around the fact that this is not 100% fruiting body. That's fine sometimes but who knows if this is mostly mycellium. This powder didn't have the cocoa type taste that I notice with the Cordyceps powders I've tried before and was lighter than what I was used to as well. That being said I took it and even put it in my cats food to no ill effect. The price for this is OK I guess for one of these boutique brands but I'd go for a 100% fruiting body militaris first. This is a company that does kind of trendy boutique powder mixes but while the price isn't similarly inflated, aren't really prioritizing going for the highest quality supplement.I most likely would have given them 4 stars if it weren't for the company's non answer and the odd marketing information on both their website on Amazon that's not on the product itself. This is a lower cost starter cordyceps powder that is fine and safe for humans and pets and doesn't have a strong smell so it can be put in smoothies and hot chocolate and so on. But if you really want to get into cordyceps you can do better. Read more

I have used this company's other products, with very positive impressions of their mushroom offerings. This Cordyceps Mushroom Powder generally meets that same threshold of quality. The ingredient list note 100% Cordyceps Mushroom (to be specific: "100% organic heteropolysaccharides derived from Cordyceps sinensis"). The front label also specifies that the cordyceps mushroom in their product has over 30% polysaccharides.I consume mushrooms as a food ingredient, and as a health supplement (bulk powder and capsules forms). I will add cordyceps, reishi, lion's mane, maitake (and other mushroom powders) to my morning coffee. Sometimes with cacao powder, or a chocolate flavored protein powder. This creates a potent dose of ingredients that possibly facilitate many health benefits.I am not sure why they mention 48% beta glucans in the title, but it's nowhere on the label. Also missing from the label is the Soil Association Organic badge that is shown in the product details picture. The label does have text stating that "Quality verified at accredited third party laboratories." While I would like GMP and/or FDA registered facility, this 3rd Party Lab testing is a good circumstance. At the current cost of $16, I feel this is a very good value. Also, considering that it supplies 50 servings (1/2 teaspoon, 1 gram, is suggested serving size), there's a signficant quantity.Based on initial impressions and observations, this mushroom powder supplement earns a 4.5 - 4.75 star rating, with a high level recommendation. This Cordyceps Mushroom Extract from Erbology seems to be decent. The packaging is a glass jar, and the lid is sealed in place with a sticker seal. The jar arrived to me wrapped in bubble-wrap so it got here safe. the Jar is made of good quality glass, opens easily, the Cordyceps Mushroom extract powder is fine, and the label has all the important information on it. The extract is standardized to 30% polysaccharides, and each jar has 50g, with the suggested serving being 1g.The jar and the listing here do have some discrepancies, though. The listing here mentions that the Cordyceps mushroom extract is standardized to 48% Beta-glucans, however this is not mentioned anyplace on the label. So far, I've been adding this Cordyceps Mushroom extract powder to my morning smoothie/shake, and it mixes well in there, my stomach has been fine, no issues with stomach upset or anything. No complaints. Read more

If you're interested in adding "adaptogens" to your diet, but don't want to shell out big bucks for unproven results, the Erbology brand powders are a great place to start. This reasonably large jar consists of 100% Cordyceps. The powder itself is very fine and has an earthy mushroom-like smell, but (if you use the recommended amount) doesn't add any detectable flavor if you stir it into coffee, tea or a protein drink. Personally, I prefer it in my morning smoothie as it doesn't really dissolve in liquid I don't get that sludge at the bottom. I won't bore you with all the purported benefits and, to be perfectly honest, even after using about half the jar I can't say I'm experiencing any effects, positive or negative. My advice? Do your research on reputable websites and decide whether this is for you. Read more

My partner is a mushroom fanatic; he incorporates plenty of mushroom supplements into his diet, but this is a new one for him. He has expressed he wants to try this powder as cordyceps supposedly help to alleviate fatigue and boost energy levels (ensure you read about it before taking).Pros:- Grown and produced in Europe- Malty mushroomy flavour- Long history of medicinal use- Mixes straight in with no clumpsCons:- NoneMy partner has been using half a teaspoon a day and has been building up to the maximum dose of a teaspoon twice a day. You're supposed to pause for a week after 20 days (not entirely sure why) so he has done this. He mixes it in with his meal replacements and doesn't really taste it, but alone it is quite malty but not unpleasant. It smells quite nice, actually.Since taking this (for roughly a month with the break), he has been dropping the amount of caffeine he has in a day and he thinks this helps him feel less tired in the morning, so it seems to be offering some sort of benefit already, but you should really take supplements for 3 months before making an informed decision as to whether it's helping you. Although mushrooms are well-known superfoods, so either way this is likely to come with health benefits.Being made in the EU, there is more transparency in the supply chain, and less of a carbon footprint for the consumer and the brand seem to know what they're talking about. The packaging is also really convenient being in a glass jar - nice and airtight with no mess. The bottom line is, it appears to be making a difference and the branding is great. It's also pretty good value in comparison to competitors given it's organic, so we'd definitely buy this. Read more

I love all things fungi and enjoy them in all forms. The first thing that surprised me about this preparation is that it does not smell of mushrooms. I am reassured by the fact that they are certified organic and have been prepared with no added fillers and are gluten free. That is very important to me as I am a coeliac and like to see this stated on any supplements I take. I prefer to add the powder to my food, I can’t imagine putting it in my tea or coffee but I can’t detect any flavour and only slight aroma when I sniff the container but not once I put it on my food. I have read the research on the benefits of mushrooms and polysaccharides so I take them in a variety of ways. I love using powdered mushrooms and this is a particularly good preparation. It is recommended that on the bottle that you ‘Pause for a week after taking for 20 days’ but online the information says to take a break after taking them for 2 to 3 months but not when to resume, so some confusion there. I think I’ll follow the information on the dark glass jar. I have dropped a star because of this confusing information. At the current price of £ 15.99 this is very good value for money as you only need ½ tsp to 1 tsp at a time up to twice a day. I prefer to use it on my food once a day. Read more
