I had gastric bypass roux-en-y in 2003. I have tried a whole bunch of different calcium pills and chewables. After seeing that calcium is being leached out of my bones to provide enough calcium for my body, I knew I needed to buckle down and spend money on the best calcium.I found out that there are different kinds of calcium and the Citrate form is what is most absorbable which is especially important for those of us who had the surgery which rerouted our intestines. The candy/gummy ones out there taste super great, but they are so much more expensive. The first Calcium Citrate Chewables I purchased were the cinnamon ones from Celebrate. I love cinnamon so the flavor was just fine, but they are super chalky. I would be fine continuing with those, but decided to try this version instead (Calcium Citrate PLUS) because of the extra vitamins.Oh holy moly!!! Now these are fantastic! They remind me of sweet tarts. I love the flavor and the pucker of the tart cherry. Also, these aren't chalky like the non-PLUS version. (However, maybe Celebrate changed their formula on all of the chewable calciums to be less chalky.) I highly recommend! Read more
