I love this soooo much. I'm huge on scents and I find that a lot of perfumes just don't stick to my skin very well, even when combined with their respective lotions. This powder, while first of all being super nostalgic about my grandma, has a strong but not overpowering scent (GENUINELY rose smelling, so perfect) that lasts quite a while through the day. I'm still learning the best application process.... But I love it! And I will be looking for other products in this line now :)Update:This contains talc! Did not realize that was a bad thing. I love, love, love this fragrance. A few weeks ago I was looking for a Joy perfumed dusting powder, but I guess it does not exist. The Joy fragrance consists of 336 roses and 10,000 jasmine. This dusting powder is a fabulous substitute for Joy. It smells like I am dusting myself with Joy. Just one recommendation, please double the size of the container that way the powder puff will be double the size as well. I do not want to fight to dust myself with this luxurious fragrance. I got this powder a few days ago. As soon as I opened the Amazon packaging box, I could already smell the rose fragrance. I have been looking for a true rose scent product in a long time, but most of the beauty products that has a "rose" label does not smell like a rose. Never would I have thought I would need to read the reviews on the purchase of dusting powder. Well, I was wrong. I received this and tried to open it. I tried to pry off the top. Didn't work. I tried to pry off the bottom. Wouldn't budge. THEN I went to the reviews to see if this problem was addressed, and yes, indeed, the problem was there repeatedly. The cardboard packaging is awful. For this money you should at least receive a plastic container. And one more thing...the perfumy odor is heavy and cloying. Sort of like cheap, wannabe toilet water. So disappointed. Definitely rose-scented, as advertized. It's been 50 years since I have used a container like this and I was confused about how to get it open. The lid covers the entire container, so you have to trust that it will open when you lift by the ribbon. Read more

This was my first time buying this powder. I typically do not even like anything rose scented, so I am unsure what even brought me to this scent to begin with. It must have been fate, I suppose lol. I am glad I bought it. I looked and looked and looked at all of the different body/dusting powders here on Amazon and was not sure what brands to go with because most all of the brands are ones that I had not heard of or never bought before. This one was/is a good choice.I like that it is a very fine, very light powder. It won't leave you with big white patches of skin unless you really pack it on you. It leaves your skin soft and smooth. And the smell... oh the smell is divine. Something must be changing as I am getting older (40 yrs in a few weeks) because lately I have been drawn to rose scented things where as before I did not like it. Anyway, I love the scent of this - soft, but rich, if that makes sense. It smells pretty. After a shower, or just whenever, it is a nice freshening up.Mine came in the white container but I see the product picture now is a fuschia container. The puff is adequate and a good size. The container is cardboard, but very sturdy. When you take the lid off, there's a plastic cover over the powder with holes in it so you can dispense it without dumping too much. Read more

I'm a bit of a scent snob and this one's actually got truly a nice rose/violet/green smell to it, but it IS strong and perfumey so please know that (especially if you are scent-sensitive). My own sensitive skin seems to be fine with it. It works really well as a dusting powder, I put it on before my bra and undies in the morning and during the summer I dust it everywhere to keep from getting all "glowy" (okay, sweaty). It keeps me dry and comfortable and soft and adds a nice touch of rose to my scent. You can definitely wear a perfume with it, it's not THAT overpowering. My only real concern is that this is a talc product and I know a lot of people, myself included, are a bit wary of talc these days. Despite my affection for the scent I probably won't be buying this again, sadly. I'll be researching more talc-free alternatives instead. Read more
