A lifetime ago, Dad used these continuously. I naively figured it was just a "dad" thing, a slightly gross habit, like many "dad" things. Now, millimeters of gum recession later and with a bout of gingivitis , I get it. I got them. It's not so easy to find these in retail stores anymore. They've been displaced by high-tech, environmentally disastrous, preposterously complex and expensive products that do the same thing. So I'm glad to have found them on Amazon. I also sent a pack to Dad.I can't say they are more effective than basic restaurant-quality toothpicks, which would certainly be cheaper. But we like the shape and the mint flavor makes the task more tolerable, almost enjoyable in a mildly impolite way.I must remove stars, however, because these are now made in China under the Revive brand. I hope that Revive does frequent and randomized QA. Wood products from China have had safety issues, e.g. formadehyde etc., particularly concerning since these go in your mouth. Something to think about. Read more

Initially loved these, and could do all my teeth with just one pick. But the picks in the newer packs I received are flimsier, and they break way more easily. Now I go through at least 4 every time I use them. Read more

I detest the whole sloppy business of flossing. Began using Stimudent Plaque Removers (both the thicker originals and their thinner cousins) in lieu of flossing. Now I have them everywhere because I cannot stand to have food stuck in my teeth. I am addicted to these and use them after the ingestion of any food. I buy them in bulk. They have genuinely saved my teeth and gums as the unending praise of my astonished dentist attests. I do brush well twice a day, too, and with an electric brush and often for twice the timed brushing duration - but these sticks do the in-between plaque removal, get into the unseen spaces. You must use them exactly as directed - get them well moistened in your mouth before putting them between your teeth. Once in a hundred uses I've had one break off and a piece has lodged between teeth. Not being one to panic I've alway managed to remove the malingerer with fingers or tweezer or another toothpick! If you have perfect teeth with zero spaces you maybe forced to continue flossing if the thinner sticks don't work for you, but there are also some tiny little brushes out there that look fun...which flossing just isn't. Fun I mean. Read more

I have had problems using floss every day so I discovered these wooden picks several years ago. They're better than regular toothpicks because they're triangular and clean at the gumline better than round toothpicks do. They can break at the tip so it's better to use them gently. They are single use just like a toothpick. The mint flavor is fleeting but that hasn't bothered me. I also use interstitial brushes some days; I think these picks do just as good job and cost much less per piece. Read more

I have been using these puppies for 2 weeks, and my teeth look amazing! They are a little flimsier than I remember them in year's past, so that is a fair critique that I saw from prior reviews and agree with. But my teeth (after about 1 week of near daily use) look like I just left the dentist! I'm 38, and normally get my teeth cleaned 1 or 2 times per year. After regularly using these (combined an electric toothbrush 3 or 4 times a week - that I was already doing before), the difference in appearance is impressive. I have been looking for a way to help stem some gum recession and occasional swelling/sensitivity. I'm hopeful (based on the cleanliness difference between floss and these) that I will see improvement at my next dentist visit. Read more

This product gives you a total of 300 picks. So if you use one per night, that's about a ten-month supply. Nice to have that many on had and not have to re-order too often.I subtracted one star for sturdiness, but it's just the nature of a soft wood toothpick that the end is going to break off now and then. Just be sure to moisten it in your mouth before use, and use a straight in-and-out movement to avoid twisting and breaking it.My dentist recommends this, not so much as a replacement for floss, but as an additional tool for keeping your gums healthy. Product is most effective when accompanied by daily brushing habit. A brush is least effective to clean between most teeth and this product comes to the rescue. With proper use, it actually scrubs the surfaces a brush can’t reach. Before use, wet the pick to soften it, about 30 seconds, insert it between the teeth, gently moving it in/out a couple of strokes, repeated for each tooth separation. Children will need close supervision while they master the technique and some will not be ready at this point in their life. It is a good product, not a perfect product. Read more

I threw them away...they do not go between your teeth unless you have huge gaps, the tip is not at all sharp like a toothpick and they are way way too large, rough and not pointed to be helpful.. Smell nice and minty. uniform in appearance, but use a toothpick and. you'll actually get results, these are AWFUL! Read more

Gott sei Dank.Mit herzlichen GrüßenPeter Schulz Read more
