Chose to purchase this product based on reviews, was so excited to use it - to see if it really was going to work. I think the key thing when using this on cradle cap is making sure you do the oil soaking in the scalp step and do that part very well to loosen the flakes in the scalp. Especially if your baby has ALOT of cradle cap present. Also you need time on your hands to do this effectively and dont rush it - take your time and be paitient!! It took us a while as we had quiet alot of cradle cap at the front of my babies hair ( he has a whole full head of hair at 3 months - he was born with loads of hair, curly but fine. He is mixed ethnicity. so wetting his hair first and smearing in coconut oil defiantly wasnt a step to miss) - he was fussy, I think mainly out of annoyance. Hence why you need patience cause you may need to sooth your baby in between to calm them down, we tried multiple ways at the oiling stage to massage his hair with the brush, sometimes I held him and my partner used the brush, sometime I laid him down and held his neck to get to his favourite side (most babies have a favourite side they like laying on) ! Theres alot of moving his head about involved, but I was determined to get the dry skin out! Also keept baby warm, we left our baby in warm clothes and just focused on sorting his hair out first and used a towel for any dripping on his neck. The oil stage we did in about 15-20mins and massaged really well then rinsed it out and then did the shampoo stage and massaged again very well ( he was so fussy, had to sooth him inbetween that stage too - luckily I wasn't doing this on my own, that can be a little nightmare if your baby doesn't respond well to touching there head!!! Try do with someone, so you really can focus on problem areas with the cradle cap while the other person moves the head and soothes him) - after the shampoo stage, we got a phone torch to look into his scalp and 95% was literally gone we saw a couple flakes in areas we didnt focus alot on so we just used a few more drops of coconut oil ( which we poured in a nozzle plastic squeeze bottle - as it was melted due to summer weather, which to be honest made it alot easier and quicker to apply to his scalp!!) While I was soothing him I just sang and massaged the area that still had it for about 5-8mins while my partner got his bath ready ( we wanted to end it on a calm and positive note for the night - after all the fussing!) He fell asleep while I was waiting for the bath. We popped him in the warm bath after gently alerting him, and he was super relaxed and calm, loved his bath and was very quiet enjoying the warm water.Dried his hair and the results were so impressive, it was basically 100% gone - I popped a little olive oil to his hair, gave a feed and he slept very well!I would recommend this brush, and I would encourage again for you to be patient in the process with your baby, also to maintain massaging his hair with fair pressure in circular motions in his follow up bath times to keep cradle cap away.So happy with this purchase!! One of the most useful and super affordable baby products I've purchased.Only thing I have to say is detaching the brush to clean isn't the easiest thing, but once you know how it's all good and defiantly worth the buy!**** REVIEW UPDATE- 13/09/2019just an update on my babies cradle cap after using this product ( he is now 4months old) he no longer has cradle cap at all , I do still do a hair wash routine , but now every 2-3 days, I still use this brush each time and I do so while hes having a bath now, i still do a coconut oil treatment stage and a shampoo after with the brush (he is now use to the brush and the routine, so I can do this all on my own now without someone's help! Takes probably 5-10mins max as I do it during his bath time, which is a major difference from when we first started the routine! . After bathing I use a moisturiser in his hair called " kokoso happy scalo cream" from Amazon its pricey £10.00 but I couldn't do without it, works wonders on his curly full hair, makes the comb slide right through, it's been great honestly. I also Defiantly know its helped keep the cradle cap away during the days I dont wash his hair. I use the moisturiser moderately cause it is expensive and you dont get a lot of it ( annoyingly) and i only use it in the areas he had previously had the cradle cap.. were he has the most hair and the sides of his head. The best thing is I dont see any dry flakes anymore! So if your struggling with cradle cap, there is hope just be persistent in the routine and keep it up and just do it less as it starts to go away to keep it away for good, and eventually it will!**** REVIEW UPDATE- 02/07/2020my son is now 1 years old and few months, I can now say I stopped using the brush just before he was 6 months, but to be honest it was all gone just before he was 5 months old, there was none left at all I just kept the routine going to keep it away for good, as I didn't know if it was something that would return! But it never did. So just keep it up! It will go away if you keep going & good luck! Read more

I don't usually write reviews but have just used this brush alongside the Kokoso baby coconut oil on my baby's head. He's 5 weeks old and has had dry skin on his forehead, eyebrows and scalp for the past couple of weeks. I think it's cradle cap although not diagnosed. I tried washing his hair with mild baby shampoo and using a regular baby brush to loosen the flakes of dry skin then applying a gentle baby moisturiser but this seemed to make the dry skin worse! Saw some reviews of this product and thought I'd give it ago before getting a treatment or prescription shampoo. All I can say is WOW! The two products combined have more or less totally removed the dry flaky skin from my son's head and have left his forehead feeling so soft after just one use! I just wiped his head with a damp flannel then rubbed some of the coconut oil onto the dry patches and left to sink in for 5 mins. Then used this brush to gently rub over the dry areas to loosen the flakes. Then bathed my son and washed his hair with gentle baby shampoo and all the flakes came away! Amazing. Definitely worth a try if you're struggling to get rid of cradle cap! Read more

This is a great product.Since my daughter was born she had cradle cap . We’ve been trying for almost 6 months everything for this to disappear and nothing was working. The doctor said that was normal in babies but she was always scratching her head, irritated and hurting herself . Was also smelling a bit , so I decided to try this . After buying it , I was reading a lot of reviews some said that was a miracle other that this doesn’t work at all so I was afraid that this wouldn’t going to work . On my experience after 3 days of using it she has 0 cradle cap , she doesn’t scratch her head at all and it looks fabulous. I put first coconut oil let it soak for 10 or 15 min and then use this brush massaging in circular motion for a couple of minutes . I do this in the morning and also before bath time in the evening .This brush is a great combination with coconut oil . It worth every penny and is gently with her skin . She enjoyed her scalp massage . Totally recommended ! Read more

I'm VERY heavy handed. I tend to bath my baby without assistance and so it gets abit tiring. I literally scrubbed her head with this after applying normal organic coconut oil. Didn't buy anything new just this brush. It works very well.If theres alot of cradle cap just use oil- Baby oil, organic coconut oil, olive oil. I applied the oil the night before so it all got soaked in.The before bath dampened her hair, rubbed oil into her scalp its easier on wet hair - and just used the brush in circular motions. I then just shampoo it off.The bristles are very soft so no matter the pressure babies scalp will be safe. Mind you it isn't strong enough to be used as a baby hairbrush but its fantastic to use for shampooing and cradle crap removal.I've used it once and all her flakes have gone but I'll be using this for shampooing all the time now so that I stay on top of it.I didn't realise i'd need it, another great gift for mums to be that's easy on the pocket or to add to baby hamper. :) Read more

Bought this for my baby's cradle cap... Needless to say, it did absolutely nothing and baby was actually getting frustrated for spending so much time in trying to make this product work... I was getting mad myself because I was like "Surely this must work, what am I doing wrong??" But I feel like you are better off scraping your baby's flaky bits with a baby comb (that has tiny beads at the end) or using your actual nail (yeah, kinda gross but jt does the job). This will do nothing to your baby's scalp as it is waaay too soft and since it has so many bristles all close together it can't get close to the scalp. I got this because of the good reviews but now I am not so sure if they are all genuine or if this just does not work for us... It is also a pain to clean since you can't get close to the root of the bristles where the gunk collects so nope, would not repurchase or recommend this item! Read more
