I bought this not for my scalp, but because a friend had told me that she noticed when she was using it as a shampoo, her body acne cleared up from it running down her body while she was rinsing it out. Been having some unexplained acne on my back and chest, so I tried using it as a body wash for about a month. It didn't work, so maybe my acne is hormonal, but what it DID do was smooth out the keratosis pilaris (chicken bumps) on my upper and forearms.So, can't speak to its effectiveness as a shampoo since I don't have scalp issues, but if you know someone with KP, give it a try. This shampoo has a very strong unpleasant odor ( reminded me of a musty basement) and I didnt receive the results I had hoped for by using it. I had better results with a tea tree shampoo / baking soda regimen. I suggest you should save your money. Read more

Use once per week and I am enjoying it. The scalp seems what cleaner afterwards, like it's breathing. Use the avntiresidue also once per week, and a shampoo for dry scalp twice per week.
