I am a guy and have seen the magic happen from this jar of amazingness, due to our now 2.5 year old. This is just from the experiences of our family. When our kid was a baby, he had such sensitive skin. Had to use sensitive skin wipes. For some reason anything other would cause a rash, so, that was step 1 of no rashes. Then, the battle of the remaining mystery of what was causing repeated rashes after pooping. I noticed he'd get a poop rash, and daycare would then put on even more of their zinc oxide (desitin) based ointment. The worse the rash, the more they'd slather on. I noticed the pattern turn into a horrific cycle. So, I was like, hmmmm, on his next rash I put on just a little desitin and BAMMMM, he still cried when I applied it to his skin and he got a rash where I applied the desitin. Then I tried drying his butt with toilet paper after cleaning him off so he'd be dry, and BAMMM another rash where the desitin was. So, we tried some other ointments and I learned that he just broke out each time with any zinc oxide based product (even if they claimed to be with natural ingredients with beeswax... because I thought the zinc was helpful, so I tried one with beeswax plus zinc oxide.... and the same rash cycle happened). Plus, I am speculating that the ointments, which are supposed to repel moisture also don't let the skin breathe by creating what they consider a useful (harmful in our case) barrier.Wife had a sample of the Motherlove and gave it a try. Thrush on LO's bum? See ya later! (although for mouth thrush we used gentian violet; messy purple stuff which worked pretty darn well, but we used GV because our LO would get the super loose watery poops with any med the Dr gave for thrush, plus he'd get some Motherlove orally; read other comments from moms and you'll know how this happened). Diaper rashes? Bam, Bifff, Powwww, gone (wiped butt clean, patted dry, then applied this Motherlove miracle cure). And if for some reason a rash was starting in its early stages (because if you have a LO, there are times you don't know they have a poopy diaper because they are playing and running around out of smelling distance, so, sorry if my nose isn't buried in his diaper every second, and this happened at daycare as well), and he had a sore bum, this stuff would immediately relieve the pain on his butt and in most cases the rash would be gone later in the day, and for sure the next morning. This stuff, in our case, was diaper rash and thrush's worst nightmare, and his butt's miracle balm. Hopefully it'll work for you as well. Whenever there is a baby shower, this wonder jar goes in the gift bag.Note that it can be difficult to impossible to find in stores, but we are lucky we have a food co-op nearby that carries it. If you need it, order here and stock up. 1 jar can last quite a long time because you just apply a thin layer (thicker layers did not help us at all). Cheers! Read more

You know that feeling when you have been struggling with things and hitting every wall, hoping the next thing will be a doorway, but is always another wall? Well this is not like that. I found a door! I have been dealing with thrush with every kid I have breastfed(4). Each time it gets harder to get rid of. For the last month with hope for healing the cracks, I was worried I would have to quit breastfeeding. Them o found this. Why is there even lanolin? It was like magic. In a day I had started to heal. I was skeptical. He we are a few days later and no pain and only one small crack remains but is healing. Amazed...oh fyi i use this on my nipples rather than his bum. :) Read more

I’m giving this four stars because although I really like the product it did not clear up my daughters yeast diaper rash . The consistency is great and this stuff is very soothing I just don’t think it was strong enough to heal her rash that had been going on for two weeks once I tried this. I tried a bunch of other stuff before this as well. What finally worked was I added in some broken capsule probiotics into this balm and used that with a combination of lotrimin and that cured her rash within a day. So you might need a little something extra if your babies rash is a persistent yeast rash. I hope this helps anyone looking for answers. Read more

I can’t remember the last time I wrote a review, but I am SO IMPRESSED by this product! All 3 of my babies have had yeast overgrowth in their skin folds (neck, under arm, back of legs) and I have tried everything natural from tea tree oil to powders, sprays and other creams. I refuse to use an antibiotic on them when they’re infants (or anytime thereafter for that matter) so THIS was my last resort! I purchased it based on other reviews from moms who had the same issues and found success with this.I’m extatic to say the overgrowth is GONE after 48 hours!!!! No more “stinky neck!” THANK YOU!!!! My 2 year old girl was diagnosed with Vulvovaginitis. She was always itching and it was painful to urinate. Dr will not give me anything for it. I was a desperate mother looking for a solution. I was thankful I found this. I applied near her Vulva and a bit inside her privates and the surrounding skin. I also applied Acquaphor to the area every diaper change. From when I started to use this product to her no longer crying in pain took three days... but everyday i saw improvement.. the itch subsided burning subsided. Always wash your hands prior and after diaper change. Absolutely love this natural product. Will keep it forever in my favorite baby products!!! Read more

I haven’t used this for diaper rash yet. But my baby has some glorious neck rolls that rarely see the light of day, so they can get a little grimy. We noticed a different smell coming from the rolls, a little bit of a fishy smell. After checking it out, we saw the skin was very raw and irritated... possibly some kind of yeast or other infection had formed. We thoroughly cleaned and dried the area and applied this diaper balm. The difference was noticeable after two applications and in only a day or two. I’ve attached before and after pictures. Very happy this worked. Read more

I was almost put off by the price but I was desperate Enough to give it a try.I needed to find something for my sore nipples as I am still breastfeeding an 18mth old, 8 months longer than my other two. I don't have thrush but I do believe I have ringworm, which is basically a form of skin fungus. I needed something safe for her to ingest as its not convenient to always wipe before a feed And I didn't want to risk using canesten right now.It hasn't actually cleared it all up....I think I need something stronger however, it has calmed it down quite a bit. Before using this I was prone to scratching my breasts until I drew blood. Now it is settled. I have not needed to use it on a nappy rash so can't comment on that.I have used it for all sorts of other ouchies, chapped cheeks from windy days and sore noses from colds and it has been brilliant. I also startes to use it all over my breast as a moisturizer as I stopped using cream on my breast due to breastfeeding. Suffice it to say I went through the little pot within a couple of weeks and I was using it as sparingly as possible. At almost £13 a 30g pot, it is eye watering.I did a bit of searching and managed to find it on an American site. I did have to buy 12 pots to get the best multibuy deal but even with duty and customs it barely came to £6 a pot so now each of the kids have one and I can use it liberally without worrying about running out. This product lost a star on Amazon for the price at £13 but as a product I would give it a five. Definitely worth a try. Read more

My 9 months old baby girl had a really bad nappy rash for couple months and all other creams I've tried could not clear it. Even the ones which were prescribed by doctor couldn't help.Motherlove cream cleared it in less than a week. I like that it is made from natural ingredients so I can use it without fear that it may cause irritation on a delicate baby's skin. The only downside is it's price. You would need to apply it with nearly every nappy change to keep baby's skin clear of rash and even with applying a very small amount of the cream the full jar will last for about a month. But it worth the money as it's really helps. Read more

Bought this after the cream that the doctor prescribed didnt clear up my daughters thrush. It didnt work as fast as other reviews have said, and there is cheaper products out there with almost the exact same ingredients. Her rash does look better, after around 10 days although still not completely gone.Im not sure i would buy again considering the price. But nice product and it did help. Read more
