My wife has taken this supplement during the pregnancy and during breastfeeding for our first child and the results have been spectacular. Our son is much smarter than his peers. He is a master builder with blocks and his he says more words than I do and he’s 2.He is also the most handsome child anyone has ever seen. He was doing the “Blue steel” as he came out of the birth canal. Amazing.Very happy with the results of this supplement! Five stars. Read more

I did a ton of research into prenatals and ultimately this is the one that looked the safest/healthiest.I’m 15 weeks pregnant and on my 2nd bottle. I’ll update my review as I get further along in my pregnancy cause I think that’s important to help other moms to be.I had a 15 week follow up and decided to see a nutritionist as well to make sure I was getting enough necessary vitamins.-My iron levels were reported to be great! These prenatals don’t have a ton of iron so I was worried but paired with healthy eating there’s nothing to worry about.-There’s no calcium but that’s a GOOD thing. Calcium BLOCKS iron absorption which is SO SO important. To work around this I bought Calcium/Vitamin D pills(600mg. 2 servings) and take ONE pill a day, preferably at lunch with dairy. Based on my diet I was already getting at least half if not all my needed calcium so I only needed to take a calcium pill on days I wasn’t eating as much dairy.- I counted my pills. Both bottles had the correct amount(120 in my case)- There IS a lot of cotton in the bottle. Leave it in there! The cotton will prevent moisture build up which can cause mold growth. This is just a personal observation/opinion but the cotton is there for a reason :)- I didn’t have any issues taking them(gag reflex etc) I only ever faltered swallowing if I was really full/ ate too much as I always take my prenatal after breakfast and dinner(I like to think it’s going to absorb better that way)-there’s no DHA but you can easily meet the recommended amount by having 4-8 ounces of fish a week.So far I really love these prenatals. My first trimester I had no morning sickness but had a lot of food aversion and lost my appetite! I had no interest in food(especially grilled meats) so it was really difficult/worrying in the beginning if I was getting enough vitamins and such. I feel like these really helped a lot, especially during the first trimester. I’m not perfect and there’s days where I don’t eat a fully balanced meal(something I’m now trying to balance my carbs/protein in each meal after seeing my nutritionist now that my appetite has returned!) and I feel like these have really helped fill in any missing gaps.My nutritionist even had this prenatal on her list that other patients were taking and she had nothing bad to say about them :). I think the Baby and me 2 is better/safer as it doesn’t have all kinds of herbal ingredients which it was recommended to me that you really don’t want to take medicinal herbs while pregnant.I hope this review helps ease others worries. I’ll update this again around my 3rd trimester(might see nutritionist again once I’m further along) or after birth :) Read more

I had been ordering this prenatal through Amazon off and on for a few months but this last time all of the packaging was extremely suspicious - see photos. The seal was dirty and clear plastic - not the green printed trademark seal that is on genuine mega foods products. I can’t believe how scary this is and I’m so happy I noticed this and didn’t take any of the pills. I can’t even begin to imagine what could be in those pills. I will never buy supplements from Amazon again. The seller these came from was called NetRush. Read more

I did research on the best prenatal vitamins and ultimately decided on these. I took them throughout my pregnancy (all 41 weeks) and had a perfectly healthy baby boy (23 inches long, in fact!). The nurses also all exclaimed that I had the healthiest umbilical cord they had ever seen—they were literally holding it up for other nurses to have a look. No clue whether it had anything to do with the vitamins, but I’ll definitely take them throughout my next pregnancy. Yes, they are pricey, but you only have to take two pills and I get them tax free through my health savings plan. They are big and don’t taste great, but well worth it. Never once made me nauseated either. Read more

I did a lot of research like many other to-be moms out there. I ultimately chose these because of reviews, price, 2 tablets instead of 3, it was designed with the scientific knowledge that calcium was omitted because it interferes with the absorption of iron which made me feel it wasn't just marketing a product but actually putting out a quality product. This means you should take these vitamins at a desperate time than any additional vitamins, minerals or supplement pills because if it's all in your stomach at once, those additives can interfere with your body fully absorbing all this prenatal is meant to offer (I have a doctor in the family). There is also a great deal of debate in the medical world as to whether you should have herbs or probiotics in prenatal vitamins - there is not conclusive evidence or studies to rule out dangers of these so I preferred ones without. While the tablets are large, they are wide like a one-a-day women's multi vitamin but thinner (not domed) so I find them easier to swallow than say a fish oil or the multivitamin. I'm not vegan so this wasn't a deciding factor but the fact that it was derived from natural sources was the basic requirement of my search. Be sure to take calcium during a separate time of day, which protects your teeth during/post pregnancy though some doctors don't feel it's necessary - I have a history of teeth problems so chose this route. Baby sucks up a lot of calcium for bone growth so the extra will support YOUR needs! The last thing you need is a dentist visit while pregnant or breast feeding! Also, like many others, I plan to also purchase DHA (though most physicians will tell you a fish oil supplement or specific fish in your diet will suffice). Do your research and decide what's important to you! I'm using affordable fish oil before TTC but once I start the process, will switch to DHA Read more

I love these vitamins as they are food-based. I used them throughout my pregnancy and postnatally. However, recently I realized that these were making my newborn severely gassy. I had eliminated everything from my diet that could produce gas including Cruciferous vegetables, but the symptoms remained in my breastfed newborn. To my surprise, the folic acid and vitamin K in this supplement comes from broccoli and cabbage, so although I was not eating it or so I thought, I was giving my baby through breast milk hundreds of milligrams of the same food I was avoiding. Needless to say, the symptoms ceased once I stopped these pills. Everyone is different, but it took me so long to realize that this was the culprit of such discomfort that I thought I would share it in case it might affect someone else. Read more

Really good vitamins. I was in different prenatals before, that were giving me stomach cramps. I am glad I switched to those ones. I also don’t feel hungry as a lot of multivitamins can stimulate your hunger, and my blood sugar is balanced. I purchased 2nd bottle. Read more
