I ordered 2 of these at different times/different orders and the first one was not very soft like the reviews said, but my son still liked it and he became very attached to it, so I ordered a second one as a backup. When the second one came it was made from a completely different material and super soft. My son also liked this one, but I was always meaning to leave a review because it is obviously different. Super cute lovie, and initially so soft. I bought a second one after my baby decided this was her favorite snuggle item. Unfortunately I don’t feel the quality matches the cost, both giraffes are now matted and have lost their softness after washing following the care instructions. My daughter still loves it... hoping I can swap them out for something better made that she’ll be comforted by over the years. I have 5 of these because its a rookie mistake to only have one lovey for your child. My son loves this after having purchased 8 of the bunny for his brother. Mary Meyer does a great durable soft toy. I'm happy the giraffe has been more a consistent design than the bunny. The bunny they changed the material after a year and the difference was obvious to my son's dismay. No matter what they wash well and are a hit with babies and toddlers. Read more

This is our third purchase of the exact same item, and we couldn’t be happier. We have “OG Lovey”, who is older and clearly has seen a lot of things. “Second Lovey” was lost at the zoo. It was a sad day, but Second Lovey decided he wanted to live with all the animals in the wild. Our replacement, which my daughter affectionately named “Puff Lovey” is now in the rotation, and still has its soft cozy newness. We will always have 2 and keep a clean spare in the closet. My 4 month old daughter loves those lovey. She loves playing with the giraffes mane and the slight weight is super comforting to her. We don’t let her sleep with it yet because of its size and her being so young, but it’s something that she will love for a long time. Super soft and fuzzy. Cuddly and snuggly. My 1 year old son loves it. He enjoys chewing on the ends. I've machine washed it many times so far (lay out to dry) and have had absolutely no fraying or ripping. Seems to be of great quality and most importantly my son really loves it. Read more

This lovey is so much cuter than most of the ones that can be purchased at a store. It's super soft and my 2 month old absolutely loves it! It's not too big and it's not too small. It's perfect! He falls asleep holding on to it every night and loves to hold on to it while in his car seat (I take it away once I put him in his crib).
