Our family LOVES Hape for its high quality toys. Our 2 year old loves this toy - and we loved it UNTIL it ruined our TV unit!! The toy has several screws on the bottom. Some are counter-sunk but the larger ones are not. We didn't notice and because it is an attractive toy, stored it on top of our low-sitting TV unit where our daughter could easily reach it. As she turned and moved it during play it gouged deep scratches into our furniture. Without this flaw this is easily a 5-star toy. It is wonderful for motor skills. I expected the clear dome to scratch with repeated rough play but it is still beautiful almost a year later. Read more

Ok, I will admit I got this more because I thought it was stinking charming and adorable than because I thought my kids would love it. They are 5 and 7 and not toddlers by any means but both were drawn to this whimsical little thing. I will say that while they are both able to pick up the little marbles with the magnet, it does take a bit more coordination than I expected to slide it up and over to the appropriate spot on the dome. Even I drop it every other time. Anyways, it’s enough of a challenge to occupy their attention now, but I suspect it might be frustrating for actual toddlers. I would say this is better suited for 3 - 7 year olds. It is big though, and oh so adorable. It looks nice sitting out on an end table or shelf. Read more

UPDATED 1/17/2021: Added a new pic to show the protruding screws covered with Sugru. I put just a tiny amount over each one to make sure it would stay as flat and stable as possible, and gave it a couple days to fully cure. No more problems with scraping!This is a really cool, very sturdy toy that I’m sure will be around when my daughter has kids of her own. It’s one of the first toys that she’s been willing to play with independently, so that alone makes it worthwhile for us.I had to deduct one star because some of the screws in the bottom protrude juuuust slightly, but it was enough to make some pretty ugly scratches in my table before I noticed. (See pics) We used a screwdriver to sink them in a bit, but I don’t want to risk over tightening and having them come through the top, so I’m planning to put Sugru over them. Hot glue would probably work, too. Overall it’s not a huge problem (unless it happens to a piece of furniture you really care about) but make sure you double check yours before handing it over to your kid! Read more

Es war ein Geschenk für meine 2-jährige Nichte. Das Produkt kam unversehrt an, hat allerdings keinen Karton als Verpackung, sondern lediglich eine Plastik-Banderole. Die Idee der „Kuppel“ ist sehr niedlich umgesetzt, allerdings wird sie kein ewiges Leben haben. Schon nach ein paarmal benutzen ist das Plastik sehr zerkratzt und wird „blind“. Je voulais un cadeau qui change pour mon petit dernier et je suis aussi nounou. Donc des jouets il y en a beaucoup déjà chez nous. Hape est une marque qualitative donc j’ai commandé sans me poser de question sur la qualité. Après pour son prix j’ai hésité mais finalement après avoir reçu tout ses catalogues de jouets plein de plastique hors de prix je trouve le prix et la qualité très raisonnable. Je veux éviter au maximum les ecran et favoriser la motricité fine pour mes enfants du coup ce jeux est idéale. Déjà il est très beau , très gros ce qui plaît tout de suite au petit et attire déjà l’attention. Les couleurs, le charme du socle en bois ...
