FYI I have long, thick, naturally curly (3A) hair that I routinely straighten, and I usually use brushes by Olivia Garden. I decided to try this paddle brush based on a blow dry tutorial aimed at getting volume without the time involved in using a round brush. That being said; this brush was just....ugh. First of all the bristles are too short to accomplish anything meaningful; all they did was push my hair around and make it frizzy. Second, it smelled so god-awful bad that even if it had been a good brush I wouldn't keep using it. It had a strong smell of rubber right out of the package, but once I turned the hair dryer on and applied heat, the smell was just....beyond. There's $15 I'll never see again. This is literally the best brush ever! I have always had a very sensitive head. In addition I have fine hair that tangles in 2 seconds. My head is so sensitive at the salon I have to brush out my hair mysef before styling because it hurts too much when other people do it. I tried this brush when at my stylists. I was expecting it to hurt just like every other brush and I knew that my hair had aquired a few bad tangles on the way.. Amazongly, this brush DID NOT HURT. Not only did it feel good it seemlessy got rid of the tangles! It cut through my hair like butter. I have tried all-boar hair brushes before but they don't get the tangles out and they still pulled my hair. Not this one!I could literally brush my hair all day. I bought this brush because I wanted something to replace my wood bristle brush and my boar bristle brush. I have thin and fine but frizzy hair. This brush really helps bring the frizz down and it feels amazing on my scalp. It is exactly like I thought it would be. I was able to consolidate and throw away all my other brushes. This is the only brush I'll ever need (depending on how long it lasts). It has held up very well for five months. We'll see how it looks in a few years. Read more

Initially this brush was ok, except for a burning rubber smell. After 5 months of use, the smell still hasn’t gone away. Also now the little plastic balls on the ends of the bristles have started falling off. Every time I brush my hair I now need to sweep up the plastic bits. I wouldn’t recommend this brush. Read more

Bought this for my girlfriend who has long hair that's fairly fine. A lot of other brushes she told me would pull her hair and cause a lot of static in her hair. She said that this brush does neither of those things and works as well on wet hair too. She said it's the best brush she's ever owned! I have long fine fragile hair. Normally my hair would fall down a lot when I brushed it. But this brush works perfectly! It won’t get stuck, even tho my hair is so messy, it will brush smoothly all the way. And barely have hair loss! I love my hair even more and not afraid to brush it anymore. Horrible! When I used the brush I could hear the damage being done to my hair. Its not anti static. The worst part, if your hair is even a little bit greasy this brush will distribute all the oils throughout the rest of you hair. Not in the add extra shine way either, the you look like a big ol' grease ball. Read more
