So far, this is my favorite baby toothbrush/oral care item I’ve tried. I’m on baby number three. With my first, I had a finger toothbrush of a different brand. It was too big on my finger and baby bit my finger through it all the time. With my second, I went straight to the soft bristled toothbrush. That worked better. But, baby bit it a lot while teething and that was really bad for the bristles and probably not good for baby either. My baby now got his first two teeth right at 5 months. I ordered this set. This set has everything you need but the toothpaste. I don’t know about the stage descriptions listed on the packaging, so I’ll describe each one and and the stage it’s for as I see it. The finger brush is great for the very beginning when you want to feel what you are cleaning in baby’s mouth. This one is a good thickness. My only complaint about it is that it’s thick at the base making it not fit my finger well. We quickly transitioned to the “stage 2” brush. It’s small. It’s perfect for my baby right now at 5 months with only two teeth. My baby smiles when he see me coming with this to brush his teeth. He really likes the way this brush feels! The “stage 3” brush will be good as baby’s mouth gets bigger with more teeth coming in. “Stage 3” has ridges on the sides and back. That should feel good on a teething baby who’s biting the toothbrush. “Stage 4” is a regular bristled brush for after the baby teething phase. I think this set is great and I definitely recommend it! I’m not a fan of this kit. I have found almost every one of the stages to be problematic.Stage one: this fingertip brush is way too big for my infants mouth. It’s larger than my finger and he gags when I put it in to brush the gums.Stage two: this is so hard it was actually hurting my fingers to wash it with soap before using it on him. I use this about three times on him with looks of shock and horror from his sweet little face each time. Then I finally decided enough was enough. I thought I would give this product the benefit of the doubt because of the brand being so well-known and having so many great reviews.I skipped stage three and went straight to four because stage two and three are equally hard. Both are like brushing your teeth with a plastic hair brush. How cleaning do you think your teeth will be from that?Aside from how unusable this product is, I found the directions for stage two and three very confusing. Stage two is for newly emerged teeth and stage three is to be used during the teething process. Isn’t the teething process also dealing with newly emerged teeth? Am I supposed to switch back-and-forth between the stages? Am I supposed to use stage three on certain parts of the mouth and stage two on certain parts of the mouth during the teething process also when he has newly emerged teeth? It’s just a bunch of nonsense that I will avoid. With my first child I went straight to a regular toothbrush and training toothpaste. She has excellent oral health and beautiful teeth. I don’t know why I decided to give this a chance. Read more

This is a great first set of toothbrushes for babies! The finger gum cleaner is great to use for newborns - so easy to use and gently massages gums. The stage 2 and stage 3 brushes are quite similar - stage 3 silicone bristles just go all around so you can have your little one hold it and put it in their mouth to get used to having a toothbrush in their mouth and they can massage their gums on their own. I've heard different recommendations - some people have told me to use the actual soft bristle toothbrushes as soon as baby's teeth pop out, some said silicone massagers are fine. Up to you, but stage 4 has actual soft bristles that emulate adult toothbrushes. The only thing that I don't love are the color combinations - the green and blue isn't a super appealing color combination for me. Practical, but doesn't spark lots of joy. Read more

I love this set! It has the 4 stages to grow along with baby. The sooner you can start this on them the better in my opinion. Less of a hassle as they get older. My little one is almost 7 months old and we are using both the silicone finger massager and the soft gum massager (stage 1 & 2). He has not started to cut any teeth yet, but he likes for us to rub this over his gums, and I let him hold it and try it on his own to gnaw on a little. Will continue on with stage 3 & 4 as he starts to get some teeth. I want him to develop those good hygiene habits early! Can't go wrong with this set! Start them early!! Read more

I wish I had found this pack of toothbrushes when my son needed his first toothbrush! He was an early teether, and this set would have grown with him perfectly. Even at 3 months old I was wiping his two new bottom teeth; the finger brush is a great size and would work well on the first few teeth. There’s also a beginning brush with silicone bristles and a larger area to bite down on for sore gums. We’re currently using the middle brush, but could also use the more advanced brush. My son has all 20 baby teeth (he’s 20 months) and these reach all the way back to his molars well. There isn’t a choke guard but he doesn’t need that anymore anyway. These are really durable, easy for small hands to hold, and appear to hold up to teething and daily use (and abuse).I highly recommend getting this set when your little one starts teething. You could even put teething gel, clove oil, or training toothpaste on the silicone brushes for them to gnaw on.TIP: for really sore gums or when a tooth is about to cut through, try storing these in the freezer to keep chilled! It seems to help!Happy teething! 🦷 i hope this was helpful. 😉 Read more

This Dr. talbot's oral care set is perfect to introduce brushing for toddlers with help of 4 stages. I been thinking of getting the silicone to massage my baby but this set works better so I don't have to worry finding toothbrush for each stage. The brushes seems perfect for those little hands, easy to handle and use with nice grip. Love the clear silicone and she is calm when using it. This is great for gift giving as well. One thing I would have like is perhaps adding portable storage to carry on the go. Other than that I like the color and design layout. Read more
