I noticed a difference the first wash. I’m an African American woman with 4c hair & it’s hard finding ways to reduce my scalp psoriasis other than apple cider vinegar. This literally kept my psoriasis gone for almost 2 full weeks (i was too busy to wash) and it usually reappear within 4 days! That’s a big difference & relief for myself. It also don’t make my hair feel stripped like other shampoo does, it felt like my hair was already conditioned. I highly recommend Read more

Ok ssoooo I had low hopes for this shampoo and after the first use I fell in LOVE!!! The smell isn’t as bad as I read in some reviews and once you wash it out of the hair the scent left is a soft scent and smells like a clean scent. After first use I didn’t think I’d be a fan because it left my hair feeling a little rough while still wet BUT once my hair dried it was so soft and smooth. The dandruff was IMMEDIATELY GONE!!! I have horrible horrible dandruff on the back of my scalp near the neck and have tried every shampoo you could think of to get rid of it with no success. A friend of mine mentioned her mother uses this for psoriasis which causes horrible dandruff for her mother so gave it a shot! I have now been using a little over a month and wash my extra long and thick hair 2x a week as recommended on the bottle!! I will never go back to regular shampoo!!!The only thing negative I have to say is the price is a bit high for such a small bottle! I wish the price was more affordable or the bottle was bigger. However it is worth it after the results it gives me!!! Will be purchasing more very soon as I have a little less then half a bottle left!! Read more

I've had scalp psoriasis for 20 years and using this product for even a few weeks has been the best solution of any medication I've used including all the prescribed doctor medications. I would highly recommend using this. After 5 months of use I have NO psoriasis, flaking, scalp itch anymore. I never thought I would see that day . . give this a try. Read more

I found this shampoo while looking for some hardcore dermatitis and/or psoriasis dandruff shampoo. What I had was not just regular dry scalp and itch.So it smells. A lot. My husband legit exclaimed, "What is that smell?!" while I was in the shower. He was shaving at the sink, we have one bathroom just to be clear. The smell is not unbearable and is gone once I rinse and use my conditioner and styling products.More importantly, awful itchy flake problem was 50% better after one wash and 75% better after the second. I've been using it every other day for a few weeks now and my scalp feels and looks 90% better.Update: July 2019I have kept this product around for a seb derm flare, but have been able to cycle it put for now. If I used it more than once a week I got drier and sore, try using the DHS Zinc shampoo for a daily washer if you have a sensitive scalp! Read more

I used to use this for many years. Normally I would always find a deal on this to where my average cost might be around $11. In time this product was not being sold by as many vendors so the deals became less and less which caused me to seek an alternative. I did find one and I stopped using DHS for the past couple of years. Decided recently to give it another try. What I've found is that this shampoo now seems to have been significantly Watered Down. It used to be thick and generate very good lather. No more. It is now thin and much more watery and generates almost no lather. This is obviously an attempt to increase margins but I'm not buying it. I'm done with this stuff. Read more

I bought this for myself and my son. He has really bad dandruff and I always get build-up because of going a few days between washes. I have a lot of super thick hair and I blow-dry and use a flat-iron so I like to wait a few days before having to do all that again. But my scalp does not like to go more than a day without washing. First, the smell is AWFUL it smells like freshly laid blacktop. It does fade after your hair is dry but there is definitely still a smell. Second, I did notice way less build-up between washes and it seems like less flakes in my hair. I'm not sure if my son has used it yet because he is worried about the smell. Definitely worth a try though. Read more

If you have dandruff, I recommend washing your hair every other day. Dandruff is basically dead skin on your scalp. If you have dry skin, you most likely also have dandruff. It's extremely common for people to have. But no need to be embarrassed. Place this shampoo in your scalp and use a dandruff brush to really scape your scalp (but not in a vicious way). Leave it in your hair for 15 minutes to get it absorbed in your scalp. Then wash it off and use a dandruff conditioner. Btw...if you wear hair dye, use this product sparingly and switch it with a color friendly dandruff shampoo. Your dandruff issue won't bother you anymore in public. This is coming from someone who tried every famous brand. THIS WORKS. Read more

I am allergic to far too many things including most dandruff shampoos. I'm not allergic to this one and it works, so I am very happy with it. Yeah, it smells terrible to use and the smell dissipates slowly once you rinse it out (like other tar shampoos), but it is way better than having tiny painful blisters on my scalp along with resistant dandruff. The creme rinse does help a bit with the lingering smell and I am also not allergic to it. If you have shampoo allergies I do recommend this one. They also nicely secure the lid so it doesn't come off in shipping. Read more

The scent wasn't bad..its a medicated shampoo so it's not a perfume scent. Helped relieve the itch and flaking though I only use twice a week. Would recommend but I do use other shampoos so my sclap doesn't become immuned. Read more

Maybe good for mild dandruff only. Way overpriced. No better than T-Gel. Very little tar in it. Save your money. Delivery took forever. Read more

Read more

Smelly but it seems to be working for me. My hair is still soft and my scalp feels great. It’s a little expensive (everywhere, not just Amazon), but I only use a little bit so it’s lasting well. I’ll be reordering. Read more
