Having said this, if I had the means to support this habit, I'd continue buying Desert Essence's mouthwash because I'd like to be more ingredient-conscious. No more bleeding, swelling has reduced, and my smile is turning pinker.Unfortunately, I felt that the results were stalling so I began to also do a daily oil-pull for 20 minutes with coconut oil. I love this stuff. It's very refreshing, without all the aggressiveness of most alcohol or peroxide-based mouthwashes. It has the effectiveness of tea tree oil without the headache of diluting it to the right proportions myself. It leaves a very nice clean mouthfeel behind without leaving you with cottonmouth--you actually feel hydrated after using it. I would NOT recommend giving it to kids as you absolutely can NOT swallow it. Tea tree oil if swallowed can make you very ill. Use it responsibly. Easy way to use Tea Tree oil to get rid of gum disease. At night I would feel pain in my jaw and I thought I was feeling a cavity. Went to a dentist and discovered I had NO cavities. This is the best mouthwash I have found for keeping gum sensitivities and bleeding under control. And unlike pure tea tree oil, it doesn't taste bad. Do yourself a big favor and try this product yourself. It will save you a lot of money at the dentist or periodontist and keep your gums healthy. My gum recession is slowly going away. As I have gotten older...mouthwashes, even the ones that are alcohol free, have a burning sensation. My daughter recommended this product and I am so very glad she did.
