I mean. I have two severe cavities, like, craters. The dentist told me it's mm away from nerve exposure. Appointment is next week..this is saving me until then.It's a bit of trial and error to apply it in just the right spots, you have to figure out which area is actually causing the nerve pain. The application is simple and precise, with these little Q-tip-like things. It looks like a tiny amount of liquid in there, but a tiny bit goes a long way, and after using it 2 days I would say it'd last several weeks even if used a lot.The fact that it comes altogether in a little plastic carrying case is great.The flavor is strong and minty-ish but not unpleasant in my opinion. The viscosity is a bit thinner than cough syrup, it stays generally in the area you apply it but isn't thick like a gel.It's benzocaine...so if you apply it properly it will be very effective at blocking out toothache pain of most kinds for an hour or two. It's really been clutch for me because I of course waited until my tooth became sensitive to cold and sweets, couldn't handle any pressure on it, and is beginning to be uncomfortable all of the time. I take really good care of my teeth always have, I had braces when I was in middle school, my mom paid for me to have professional teeth whitening done for years and have always brushed, flossed, used mouth wash two sometimes three times a day and went to the dentist twice a year but sadly my genes screwed me... I inherited really weak enamel from my mom's side of the family and my dad's side of the family. I started having problems in my late teens but in the last 2 years or so things have gotten much worse. My dad's older brother and father both lost all of their teeth due to enamel weakness by the time they were 30. I'm 28 and while I haven't lost any teeth yet thankfully my enamel is pretty much nonexistent, since you can't whiten teeth that have no enamel my teeth are yellow and now a couple of my teeth have started chipping at the bottom near the root, they've been like this for a couple of months and have given me zero discomfort but recently it's started hurting so much so that it's very hard to sleep the pain keeps me up.As soon as I could I went to the store and picked up some Orajel pain relieving mouth wash (that's all they had) while it did work it didn't work for very long, takes a couple of minutes to work and once it does it only lasts a couple of minutes. So I decided to look around and found this stuff... OH MY GOD this stuff is hands down a god sent, completely numbs my mouth and lasts 20-30 minutes which is perfect I use it before bed and it gives me pain relief long enough to where i'm able to fall asleep. No joke this stuff is on the same level as the numbing stuff you get at the dentist.Sadly I don't have dental insurance and can't afford it and to be honest i'm too insecure about my teeth to go even if I could I haven't gone in well over 3 years... obviously i'll have to go eventually... but in the mean time this will help me tremendously! I bought this for a friend who was in great pain. Unfortunately my friend neglected her teeth prior to us meeting.She hasn't enjoyed food for months so she couldn't eat much, soft food. I gave my husband the package and he took them to her with her car.Yes, I borrowed her car to shop but seen this " easy to use, conveniently 50 single dosages". I called her up that night and she said she just tried it. I believe her first compliment was the flavor unlike other brands this one had a "minty taste" to it.I asked her to brush her teeth so she would get the maximum effect but she was afraid too. She did get relief from the first dose but it took her a week to realize she needed this until she could get her implants.I told my friend " guess what ?" She asked me if I had more and sorta ruined my " guess what " question.I told her I found this on "Amazon" before I went to the store plus put it on "monthly auto-pay".
