i've used Doctor's Brush Picks for 5 years or more...i considered them indispensable and even think that's why dentists have told me i take good care of my teeth...i bought 5 years supply of them way back then...since i just ran out i bought over a thousand more...i'm extremely disappointed in these new ones...they're better than anything i can find though...on Doctor's Pick's literature they say the ends are better , stronger , more pliable...that's bunk...compared to the older ones they're terrible...the one reviewer talking about how they are lousy after a couple teeth is correct...the older ones had stronger, evenly parallel plastic 'hairs' evenly sticking out from the main shaft with a strong thick pointed shaft at the other end...the 'hairs' would last weeks...i've carried one in my pocket for a couple weeks or more...now, the new ones with those little, flimsy, cascading 'hairs' don't do nearly as good a job of cleaning...they're weak and the other end is thinner, weaker also...the end with the plastic weaker, thinner hairs breaks , too and the older ones never broke or wore out...so, the pitch you're given by Doctor's Picks company is hogwash...they just skimped on their product which cost 1/1000 of a cent to make one so they could make this one for 1/10,000 of a cent...oh well..business is business...john Read more

This is so great - you get 250 for the same price as you do 8 -- just without the fancy handles. I love the little "feather" at the end. It's so effective. My teeth are so weird: some are super tightly packed together -- so I can't use these picks on those......but some of my teeth are spaced far apart and I have practically a whole salad in there unless I can rescue it out with floss or something. I love these because it takes just a few seconds to clean up my teeth after a meal -- which is really helpful at work when I don't have much time.I made the mistake of thinking the packaging was lame. So I cut the box open. Then, I realized there was a cute little awesome dispenser. So I taped my box back together. So as indispensable as these are, you can dispense them easily.UPDATE - I just went to the dentist for a cleaning; so far, I've used about 100 of these over the last few months. The dentist and the hygenist said:-this is the cleanest my teeth have ever been-my gums look great (they had a note to talk to me about it if they did not improve)-I had no new cavities this time which is a fantastic report, for me; I usually am very prone to cavities-she asked for the link so she could order some for her patients. My dentist, says if given a choice between brushing or flossing, always choose flossing. I've always used floss until I came across these brushpicks, and their many raving reviews. These little brushpicks are perfect for me. After reviewing some of the reviews, I can see where other s may have a problem. This product isn't one size fits all. I have some teeth that are very close together and some that are not. What is nice about these little tools is that the brush end is flat but starts as a point and widens just like a flat pine tree. So it will accommodate different sized spaces. I have a couple of spots that I can't get to. Read more

Interdental brushes like these has done wonders for my gums. These brushes do the job, but are as comfortable as the Oral-B disposables. Although they cost much much less than Oral-B, the expense isn't all that much, so I'm going to go with the more comfortable ones. I am more likely to use it. Read more

When I ordered these, I thought they were nylon bristle brushes on one end. They are not! They are a flat bristle molded as part of the toothpick. So much the better! I wondered how they could be so cheap. They are simply molded plastic toothpicks with tiny flexible tines on the other end. Oh, and the pick side has a few small ridges on the flattened sides, for clearing plaque.Let me tell you: THEY ARE AWESOME!!!My wife and kids thought I was crazy when I started to rave about these things. They are perfect for anyone who maintains some pretty regular oral hygiene. You can get out the toughest of food particles or stringy fibers!OK, it's true. The toothpick end is knife-shaped: sharp at the point and pretty rigid. But, I think that is one the best features! This shape allows you to insert the pick into the gaps of teeth, right at the gum line, and clean both teeth with a few passes, in & out. The fact that the pick is knife-thin on one side, allows it to fit in the gaps between closely spaced teeth. Use the thick side up on the top teeth, then thick side down on the bottom teeth. If you use them this way, they are quite comfortable - DAY 1! The pick alone will dislodge most food particles. The brush on the other end is molded onto a thin rod that fits into even tighter spaces that the pick side. The brush can then be manipulated as needed to get even the most stubborn food particles dislodged. I often spin the whole pick/brush to allow the brush side to do its thing. My father was a big toothpick guy, the wooden kind, but I could never get get them to work for me. They didn't fit between my teeth. I could never direct the point to the right place to get the food out. I NOW KNOW THE GLORY OF USING A GOOD TOOTHPICK!!I have never used a better device for cleaning between my teeth - PERIOD!!BUY 'EM! USE 'EM!! You'll love 'em!!! Read more

I bought these to test against G.U.M. interdental brushes as a supplement to flossing. While the G.U.M. product is somewhat weak and short (i.e., one cannot reach back teeth), the Doctor's design is worse for my needs. Much worse. BrushPicks are thick and won't go between half my teeth. They have very few bristles, the bristles are weak, and they are aligned up and down instead of left-to-right. In the end Doctor's is nowhere near as effective as the G.U.M. product.Doctor's costs less than G.U.M., and would work fine for heavy-duty picking of popcorn or other hard to remove matter. This need is rare for me, so they have limited value and I won't buy them again. Read more
