Works great for intended purpose. I have a house full of step kids that cant keep their hands off things that dont belong to them. So this allowed me to have 2 cabinets locked. Dont waste your money on these. We bought the 4 pack just in case we wanted to put them on something we hadn't thought of at the time of purchase. We used 2 immediately. One one the refrigerator and one one the freezer. Within a week the one on the refrigerator broke where my toddler pulled the door to try to open it. We had 2 more so we put another one on. About 2 weeks layer the one on the freezer ended up breaking the same way.. by being pulled on.. we didn't bother putting another back on the freezer.. and within another week the second one we had put on the refrigerator was starting to peal off because the adhesive wasn't sticking to the door. I teach in a high school. My room is used by others at various times and functions. My desk did not lock. So, I purchased these locks to be able to lock it. I put one on each (5) drawer. They work awesome. Not that someone couldn't jerk extremely hard and pull it off; but, it isn't going to come off with just your average pull. I have a magnetic screen sliding door that opens every single time the dogs or cats or children even gently touch it. Then everyone escapes. It’s an issue. It’s not anymore. These work very well to hold the door shut. I was running out of ideas and these do the trick! Remember to wipe surfaces with rubbing alcohol and letting dry before applying. They will stick better. This is product is a complete fail. I purchased this since my kids are getting older it's time to lockup my liquor cabinet. I did everything right; cleaned the surface first with an alcohol pad and let dry. After applying I let it be overnight. The next morning I gave the cabinet doors a tug open and the lock side failed. I bought a very similar one a few months ago for my freezer and it works amazingly well. When they stopped selling it and I needed one, I found this one. While it looks similar, I wish I could give it zero stars. It lacked adhesive so much that it keeps falling off the mini fridge. I mean right after I took the paper off the adhesive it won't even hold enough to stay on it. It is pointless as even a baby lock if it won't even attempt to stay, muchless lock. Read more
